Respect for Teachers makes a Person Successful

The relationship between teacher and student is wonderful. The teacher as a second parent will support his student by giving proper guidance. God gives teachers the second highest rank after our parents. Teaching is a very respectful profession in the world. According to the holy book of Islam (Qur’an), the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was sent to teach about the noble Book (Qur’an), and the guidance of all mankind. The famous quote of Ali (RA) about the teacher is very beautiful; “ If a person teaches me one single word, he has made me his servant for a lifetime”. Every religion in the world gives the highest rank to its teachers. In short, teachers are the most essential element of every society.

I am going to share a very beautiful incident in my life. Once I was playing football on my school ground. When the ball passed beyond the goal line, I went for a corner kick at the corner of the ground. After kicking the ball I was standing a the corner and suddenly I saw my English teacher. He was coming from the school gate. He had just come ten steps out and a young man in a white shirt-pant approached him. When they were meeting each other I saw a new thing that I didn’t see ever before in my life. Thing was that the young man was kissing the hand of the teacher. Within a moment the teacher hugged him and after some conversation, they left the place. I was shocked to see that and waited for the next day. On the next morning when our teacher entered the class within seconds, I told him the whole story of yesterday and asked why the young man was kissing your hands. He was pleased with my question and politely replied, listen my children I am a teacher and you all are my students, and you know teaching is a very respectful profession. I always used to respect my teachers and that’s why I am on this chair, and I am also giving you advice “respect your teachers”. Anyway, you want to know about the person who met me yesterday. He said, the person was my student, and I taught him 18 or 20 years ago. He still remembered that I used to punish them in school. Yesterday, he told me that he is a teacher in the school just because of your strictness, if you hadn’t punished me at that time then how would I be a teacher today?

This incident teaches us a very beautiful lesson and that lesson is, respect for teachers always pays you a lot in return. You know it's a very simple and famous sentence, give respect and take respect. So, now you can say that if you want to achieve big gools in life then you must respect your techers. Don't forget it that teachers play a very important role in our lives not just as a teacher, furthermore they guide us for the right path to live a great life. They provide us right guidelines to adopt a good profession. At the end I just want to say that if you want to get a good job and a happy life then you have to do one thing and that is,"Respect for teachers makes a person succesful".
