School Daze
I found my high school yearbooks online the other day and began perusing as I hadn't seen them for years. I found pictures of myself I don't remember seeing before, or maybe I just saw them differently this time. I'm sure at the time I was just aware of a bad hair day or my blouse puckering where it shouldn't. This time I saw a young girl with shining eyes at 14 , looking a little lost at 15 and at 16 completely deadpan face with no light in her eyes. There had been …issues at home. Did anyone see it at the time?

Becoming a Teacherpreneur
Growing up as a millennial, I was always given the impression by my parents that in order to be successful, I would need to get good grades in high school, go to college, get a degree, and then get a great paying, standard 9-5 job. Audio v. Physical Books
A haggard mother, balancing a baby on her hip while trying to get any amount of housework done, stares at the long neglected bookshelf and instead puts headphones on to listen to her favorite author's new release. An elementary school kid comes home and, grumbling, has to read 20 minutes from their parents' choice of chapter book. A college student is listening to the textbook as they take a jog. They didn’t have time to sit down and read through the latest chapter at their study desk. Tired and needing to relax, a worker can come home and grab their choice of news articles or magazines to sift through. A teacher tiredly reads through and grades her 23rd paper on comparisons. All of these people have one thing in common. Literature.

The Nature and Purpose of Intelligence, Aptitude, and Special Aptitude Tests
In general terms, various forms of psychological tests have been employed for the purpose of measuring “differences between individuals or between the reactions of the same individual under different circumstances” (Anastasi & Urbina, 1997, p. 2). More specifically, the measurement of ability represents one of the most widespread applications of psychology and psychometrics in everyday life. These assessments of ability range from instruments that test general mental ability – referred to as intelligence tests – to those that tap specific abilities – referred to as aptitude and special aptitude tests.
