The Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management, is a joint venture between William Angliss Institute, Melbourne and situated at SLIIT Campus in Malabe. Consisting of training facilities that include a well-equipped training kitchen and a functioning in-house restaurant, to ensure all students gain good exposure as well as are ready to face any obstacles in their careers.
Providing courses in the fields of
HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT - Helps students gain a broad understanding of hospitality and allow them to explore theoretical concepts to support their hospitality expertise. Developing key skills in business planning, asset management, finance, human resources and marketing to open a wide variety of employment opportunities.
TRAVEL & TOURISM MANAGEMENT - Be a part of an international study tour, gaining work experience at local events and exploring global event trends all while gaining your qualifications.
EVENT MANAGEMENT - Gain industry-level experience in events while providing gaining hands-on experience in organising, managing and running events that range from small-scale dinner parties to large-scale conferences and exhibitions.
COMMERCIAL COOKERY - Gain industry-level knowledge in various types of cuisines, professional techniques, kitchen management, financial management and team management that prepares students to become a Chef, Commis Chef, Manager or even open their own restaurant.
PASTRY & BAKERY – PATISSERIE - Gain industry-level knowledge from our Patisserie experts on this delectable art. Facing challenges to bring out your creative skills and work with the artisan techniques of cake decoration, desserts, chocolate, petit fours and more.
HOSPITALITY CERT. I – (ONLINE) - Provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
SHORT COURSE - There are two categories of Short courses available at CAHM.
- PATISSERIE SHORT COURSES - Students can take home what they make, gain hands-on experience with professionals, utilities such as recipes and required stationery provided, and specialized training in the kitchen.
- COFFEE MAKING SHORT COURSE - Carried out with the aid of a professional espresso machine and learn how to safely operate and clean the espresso machine and grinder.
