Most people in the world are small-minded. This is the real truth. But real people are those who value all people equally. I will tell you a small incident, I hope everyone can understand.
For example, on the first day of class in an educational institution, when teachers get to know students, their interview or introduction phase goes like this-
Teacher: What does your father do?
Student: Yes ma'am, a medicine specialist.
Teacher: Oh well! Give my regards to sir.
Next, what does your father do?
Student: Yes ma'am, a university professor.
Teacher: Which department? What is his name?
Student: Yes ma'am, Finance Professor Dr. Rafiq Chowdhury.
Teacher: Are you Rafiq Sir's daughter? Tell Sir about me.
Then what does your father do?
Student: The boy bows his head a little and replies,
Yes ma'am, my father catches fish in the village river.
Oh oh.........
After this introduction on that first day, one thing is set in the minds of Teachers.
Whose father is a doctor, engineer or someone high-ranking!!
From then on, they were given an extra priority in every class, card term or vibha, presentation and even semester final. And the boy who came from the fields of Small village was ahead on the strength of his talent, but fell behind a lot due to his father's pressure.
If I ever become a teacher in an institution, I will tell that boy number three,
Why do you bow your head and say, "Father catches fish in the river?" Stand up in front of everyone and raise your head and say, "Father, by working hard and catching fish in the river, is teaching his son in the best institution in the country."
You don't need to be a lecturer at that small university. You will be a lecturer at Oxford. You don't need to fight for a small job at that small medical college. You will take charge of the duty doctor at Mount Elizabeth, Singapore. There are not one or two examples of people who have risen from the fields and touched the sky in this World, not one or two, but a thousand. Yes, a thousand.... If you look down on someone, he doesn't become small. The one who looks down on him becomes small. Isn't it more important to expand the radius of our minds than to expand the radius of our pockets?
I would say yes, it is important because a person should not be respected based on the qualifications of his ancestors, but rather on his own qualifications and character traits. But in our society, it is often seen that the more qualified his ancestors are, the more respect he has in society. But we have to change this low-minded view, and evaluate people with transparency, fairness and generosity.
It is also important to know other important things to be a real person. For example,
The true value of a person is in the largeness of his heart. Having a big heart does not only mean being generous, but also feeling the happiness and sorrow of others, knowing how to forgive and come out of narrow-mindedness.
In life, we come into contact with various types of people—some help us, some hurt us. But a truly big-hearted person is one who can forgive the mistakes of others and thinks about the welfare of others above their own interests.
To be a big-hearted person, we have to be tolerant, give up hatred and practice generosity. This not only makes our personality great, but also helps maintain peace and harmony in society.
Therefore, forgetting narrow-mindedness, leaving jealousy and hatred behind, we all move forward on the path of becoming a big-hearted person. Because true happiness comes through generosity and love.
Only then can we develop as real people.
