War is one more name for oppression

In my opinion, the concept of oppression is very simple. For example, if you put a thorn in someone's path, then you have oppressed them. Even if you talk about someone's faults behind their back, then you have oppressed that person.

Similarly, when a war is imposed on an innocent country and a mess is created in that country, the neighboring countries and superpowers try to take advantage of that mess. This is understandable when the excessive reaction of the neighboring country can be noticed even in the smallest incident of a country.

The neighboring countries want to take advantage of such a benefit and are largely successful.

In this way, some countries oppress another country to achieve their own interests.

Many parties are formed in a war or a mess. Many want to take advantage of many things. Some succeed, some do not. Those issues of profiteering have to be dealt with politically, which the countries that have suffered losses in the war have been doing with various superpowers and neighboring countries since the end of the war.

In fact, to be honest, every issue related to war is a heinous thing in my opinion that disrupts and makes people's lives miserable. Where innocent women, children, and the elderly are all tortured and die without any fault.

Therefore, we should all be humane and take a stand against all kinds of war crimes because a war brings torture and death that destroys the lives of many people, families, societies, and countries.

I analyzed how war destroys a nation.

War is One More Name for Oppression

Throughout history, war has often been glorified as a necessary means to achieve peace, justice, and national security. However, beneath the surface of heroic narratives and patriotic rhetoric, war is fundamentally an instrument of oppression. It is a mechanism through which the powerful impose their will on the weak, nations dominate other nations, and the privileged maintain their superiority at the cost of countless lives and suffering.

The Facade of Justification

Governments and leaders frequently justify wars under the pretext of national defense, liberation, or moral duty. However, a closer examination reveals that these conflicts are often driven by economic interests, territorial ambitions, or political control. Whether in ancient times or modern conflicts, wars have primarily served the interests of the elite while ordinary citizens bear the brunt of destruction. Wars rarely benefit the common people; instead, they lead to displacement, death, and economic hardship for those caught in the crossfire.

War as a Tool of Subjugation

Colonial conquests, imperial expansions, and modern military interventions demonstrate how war is used as a tool of oppression. Colonizers waged wars to enslave indigenous populations, extract resources, and impose foreign rule, all under the guise of civilization and progress. Even in the 21st century, wars continue to function as a means of controlling weaker nations, whether through direct military action or economic and political coercion.

The Suffering of the Innocent

One of the most devastating aspects of war is the suffering it inflicts upon civilians. Women, children, and marginalized communities disproportionately experience violence, displacement, and poverty due to warfare. Entire generations are lost, cultures are destroyed, and societies are left in ruins while those who orchestrate these wars remain largely unaffected. The irony is that the supposed reasons for war—such as protecting human rights or bringing stability—are negated by the very act of war itself, which breeds more injustice and suffering.

War and Economic Exploitation

The military-industrial complex thrives on war. Defense contractors, weapons manufacturers, and political entities profit immensely from prolonged conflicts, making war a lucrative business. This profit-driven system ensures that conflicts are not resolved quickly but rather prolonged to serve economic interests. This exploitation further demonstrates how war is not about justice or security but about maintaining an oppressive global structure where some profit while others perish.

The Alternative to War

History has shown that diplomacy, dialogue, and peaceful resistance can be far more effective than war in resolving disputes. Great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr. demonstrated that non-violent resistance can dismantle oppressive systems without bloodshed. The resources spent on war could instead be used to uplift societies through education, healthcare, and sustainable development.

Conclusion

War, despite being portrayed as a necessity, is ultimately another form of oppression. It benefits the few while devastating the many, perpetuating cycles of violence and inequality. To break free from this oppressive structure, nations must shift their focus from military might to diplomacy, justice, and sustainable peace. Only then can humanity hope to end the tyranny of war and create a world where true justice prevails.
