You see, I’ve always weighed between 180-195 pounds. In the 80’s I managed health clubs in Southern Minnesota, so exercising was easy to get and do. Then in the 90’s I owned a carpet cleaning business which helped me to stay slim. My favorite foods at the time were pizza, fast-food cheeseburgers, French fries and wash them down with 2 or 3 beers.

In my lifetime I’ve gained and lost the same 20-30 pounds at least 12 times. I've been on my yo-yo diet since 1983! That's not a misprint either, it's been almost 40 years. To make matters worse I’m now 65 and have the disease Multiple Sclerosis.

When I moved to Fargo, ND I weighed 190 pounds

I got my nickname when I started using my scooter 100% of the time at age 53. When my MS took my standing and walking in 2011 I really started packing on the pounds. At the time, I didn’t have a scale to weigh myself. In 2011, I weighed 195. When I finally stepped on a scale in 2019, I was 250 pounds! I almost had a heart attack.

The first thing I did when I was 250 pounds was count calories. One pound is 3,200 calories. To lose a pound a person has to cut out 3,200 calories from their eating or burn off 3,200. I kept post-it notes on my kitchen table and I wrote down every calorie I ate for two years.

It was also about this time that I found the Ultimate Keto Meal Plan on the internet. I lost 30 pounds. More importantly, the Keto Meal Plan has helped me get my weight under control.
