THE WORLD WE WANT
THE YOUTH CREATING A PEACEFUL FUTURE.

THE YOUTH CREATING A PEACEFUL FUTURE.
As a child, I was raised by my grandparents in a rural community in West Africa where friendship was highly valued. Having numerous friends was not considered newsworthy, as the elders often said, “When a dog bites a human, it is not news, but when a human bites a dog, it becomes news.”
For me in particular, I have two best friends who have and are continuing to make my life on Earth a better one.
My friends, Shanthell and Gustav have been the inspiration that has motivated me to make informed decisions in life.
Growing up as kids, we did almost everything together. Our most cherished moments are watching cartoons on the only television in the village. During those times, each one of us wanted to one super hero or the other. We wanted to have super powers and be like Superman, Captain America, Flash, Thor or Wonder Woman but as we grew older, we realized that they were all fictional characters created by technology based on a superb imagination by someone.
Nonetheless, we wanted to have a super power at all cost. My friends and I were all eleven years, when we were very ambitious to have super powers.
Looking at how the whole world was degrading because of the existence of peace, we chose to be super heroes. Based on our definition of a super hero, “A super hero is any individual who makes the world a better place”.
There is no peace on Earth because of conflicts, gender based violence, racism, global warming, stigmatization of individuals, technological advancements that cripple critical thinking abilities of students and the woes of Mother Earth( air pollution, water pollution, plastic seas) all caused by a great foe, “humanity”.
We have taken it upon ourselves to be three youths that help make the world a better place and together we are called, “The Seeds Of Change”. As a group our motto is “World Peace for Today and the Future.”
I have an amazing super power which we call Healthy Earth Hypo. I plant trees, recycle waste products, avoid water and air pollution, use energy efficient gadgets and I encourage others to do same all in the quest to preserve Earth for future generations.
My friend Shanthell has an amazing super power called Unity for Peace. She acts as an advocate to educate people to stop racism, misconceptions, gender based violence and also educate the society on the negative effects of the distortion of peace on Earth.
My friend Gustav, has an amazing super power called Caution the People. He cautions people close to him and the society about their actions and inactions that distort peace in the world. With help from parents teachers and the Ghanaian community, he educates students on the negative effects of relying solely on Artificial Intelligence(AI) to do assignments and projects even though it does not seem to be a peace destroyer but cripples students’ critical thinking abilities. He also cautions the society about actions that can cause conflicts among them.
Even though we hail form a small village in West Africa, as youths and the Seeds of Change, we are trying our possible best to make the world a better place by working together, using creative ideas and approaches to realize a peaceful future.
We cannot do this on our own and we are requesting all youths great and small, every colour of skin to help us realize a peaceful future and this will provide the limelight to accomplishing all 17 Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).
Youths can use their voice, actions and volunteer their time to realize P-E-A-C-E (Promoting Equality and Acceptance for a Compassionate and Empathetic world).
Seeds of Change for Today, Tomorrow and probably the next lifetime.
