A Broken Land
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. No, the Californian plutocrats sitting on their hoards was a recent development that makes the landscape, for all its chameleon grandeur (because it’s often used to film everywhere else in disguise), a little bleaker for it. It is an unnerving, out-of-body, and dehumanizing feeling to look out over the desert, the sea, the rolling golden hills, or the eternally twinkling hundred-mile city and be struck by how this seemingly infinite paradise is actually quite easily collapsed into a still-large but ultimately finite and very, very lifeless profit sheet.

Why is it good for you to go out in nature?
Whether we are poets or not, painters or not, we have all sometimes been left breathless by the beauty of nature. Whether it's feeling the wet sand under the bare feet, the waves of the sea or the majesty of the mountains and the fir trees, we allowed ourselves to throw our souls into nature, so that it would calm us down. Going out in the open and being aware of the beauty around you can give you peace, energy and joy. That's why we show you the ways in which nature gives us a lasting well-being.

A Love Letter to Mother Nature
Mother Nature is my favorite of your names because it reminds me of nurture and how you are so much more than just a mother to us. You are the land upon which we hold our feet steadily, or run, unbound but still free to rest if weary. You are the crisp air we pull through our lungs into our mortal but also, somehow, immortal bodies to nourish our cells. You are the way of life, the ebb and flow of fate’s perpetual vigil. So large is your scope, and yet, so small it can be when needed.
