What's so special about this planet? First of all, Rose 508b revolves around Rose 508 (the star), which is 1% the size of the Sun, a red dwarf star with a low surface temperature of 2800 degrees Celsius. Rose 508b is so close to its mother that it only takes 11 days for her to make a runaround. In other words, for every 11 days on Earth, Rose 508b has a year. The surface area of Rose 508b is several times that of Earth, which means humans may never have to worry about a low population again.
