Save Our Home Planet Earth Oh Argentina!

A Nation by Nation Call to Action to the Earth

If one were to hold a very long rope

A rope that threads Argentina

One end the rope would be a desert

On the other end the rope would freeze

Chilled lifeless by glaciers.

Midst the rope would wind through a

A dense forest

Or slither through vast grasslands

This rope might even tether some livestock

And help stake some intensive crops

Such is the vastness of Argentina

If one were to have a panoramic view

All at once across Argentina

On one end would be a snowy environment

While a very aggressively hot environment would

Be on the other end

Such is the vastness of Argentina

Such is the varied expanse of Argentina

It witnesses the peaking glaciers of the Andes mountains

That come snowcapped

Releasing gushy rivers

Awesome valleys and gauges result

A mountain vegetation that demands multiple sightings

Is attendant, for how long

This beauty lasts!

But as the rivers find their way downwards

Argentina is home to dense thick rain forests

Tree canopies of which have formed near-sky bridges

Tree canopies have formed adrenaline filling near-sky bridges

Underneath all kinds of wildlife work, in own teams

Make no mistake that the wildlife are of teams

For some play it alone

Here comes the jaguar

The jaguar is Argentina’s home leopard

It is in Argentina team of wildlife but works on its own team

It is a solitary hunter and a solitary eater

Not even her mate will partake of her carnivores

Not even his mate will partake of his carnivores

Of what use has one joining with you jaguar

Ask not ’cause this is the beauty of Argentina

That to sight the jaguar is priceless

The condor bird is symbolic of power and might

Its wings spread so wide

One would spend a wide view

One would spend a whole day

Just to master the Andean condor bird views

The bird that holds hearts captive

Is the dwarf tinamou of Argentina

One would think it is a cross with chicken

One would think it is a cross with turkeys

One would think it is a cross with ostriches

One would think it is a cross with quail

Yet it is the distinct pointed crest

And its legs that move with a slant

That put the dwarf tinamou of Argentina

In its own identity,

Small and a walker not a flyer

Perhaps it is the reason dwarf tinamou is endangered

It calls Argentina home even when endangered

Then there is the ant eating armadillo

So unique in that ’tis a mammal with a placenta

And quite huge even with its placenta

And how it gains this huge size

With an ant eating diet is sizeable logic

Better for one to size it up by seeing not touching

This rare siting in Argentina would be touching

One would be touched to grab this opportunity

Argentina a country with snow-capped mountains

Andes Mountains and Mount Aconcagua play one’s mind

At a time when the world is minding rise in temps

Then Argentina even gets more water into her rivers

To add onto the velocity of rivers like the Paraná,

Then Argentina’s lakes swell up and outwards

This is nice for the eye

It would be a great natural phenomenon

If the risen water from flooding rivers and lakes

Bathed such grasslands as Pampas and Patagonia

Bathes such forests such as Selva Misionera

Which is habitat to numerous flora and fauna

Yet the rise in temps have wrought havoc

To man and wildlife in disasters alike

And this negates the niceties to the eye

How one would want to see more of the

Vast and unending pampas grasslands

Further down in Argentina, a lowland

The pampas pampers all manner of life

The pampas pampers wildlife

So full of life, plant and animal

Receiving this flooding waters

Not only are the plants and animals of these grasslands

Wild in nature

They are also of livelihood in nurture

Many a time the sheer huge size of ranches

Many a time the sheer huge size of crop farms

Are sites to behold

Certainly an attraction to behold

As they couple the humongous nature of

Mountains

Rivers

Grasslands

All come in multiples of sizes

In Argentina!

As though creation wanted to have all of it in one place

As though nature wanted everything in one place

As though God decided everything had to be in one place

Argentina has a dry inhospitable desert.

As well!

Argentina is varied in its nature

Argentina is so blessed in its nature

Argentina is so beautiful in its nature

Argentina is so rich in its nature

That there is no price for Argentina’s Nature

From glaciers to dry deserts

All in one place

All in one Argentina

Are memories one desires to have

Not only for this generation

But for generations going ahead

How can these future generations

Enjoy the joys of Argentina when

Deforestation is failing Yungas cloud forests, and others

Pollution is on Riachuelo River and others

That serve Buenos Aires and other towns

Soil erosion is sired by intensive farming

Agric runoff is goring water bodies

Solid waste disposal is scattered and scary

Edged out of life are indigenous communities

The will to serve today and tomorrow

Demands changes in acts of today

And so it is a call for Argentina
