PFAU's living gem , known for its breathtaking feathers and royal behavior, is one of the most admired birds in the world. The Indian peacock, known as Pavo Cristatus, is the most common and most commonly recognized species. This bird is presented primarily in the Indian subcontinent and has captivated people for centuries with its stunning displays of colour and symbolic meanings in various cultures. Physical appearance PFAU is best known for its elaborate tails or "trains" advertised in spectacular advertising exhibitions. Consisting of over 200 sparkling springs, this train is not an actual tail, but rather an elongated top tail. Every spring, people with dazzling "eyes" of blue, green and gold are marked. These springs can reach up to 6 feet long and create spectacular fans that can almost circle the bird. The male peacock's head is decorated with upright feathers of combs and decorated in vibrant blue and green colors. In contrast, the woman known as Pihen has a restrained appearance with brown and grey feathers that lack decorative trains. Habitat and Sale Peacocks are found in South Asia, particularly India and Sri Lanka, but have also been introduced to many parts of the world due to their beauty and symbolic meaning. In India, it can be found in forests, arable lands and even temple grounds. These birds prefer deciduous forests with access to water and open rooms. This will show feathers and make predators easier to recognize. The peaked birds are bed-related birds, but at night they are trees to keep them safe from predators. Behavior and diet Despite its size, the peacock is not purely decorative. They are active, intelligent and social birds. Peacock's iconic tail display is part of a complex mating ritual that attracts Peahen. During the breeding season, men gather in the city's provinces known as women, where they issue women and call women. Peacock's loud, sharply resonating "meiawe" can be heard in the distance, especially during the monsoon period, that is, during peak hours. Peacocks are omnivorous animals that eat seeds, insects, fruits, small reptiles, and even small snakes. They play a favourable role in pest control, especially in agricultural areas. Their strong legs and sharp spores allow them to effectively protect themselves when threatened. Cultural and religious meaning In Indian culture, peacocks are more than just a bird - they are a symbol of the nation and have a deep spiritual meaning. It is the national bird of India that symbolizes blessing, beauty and pride. In Hindu mythology, peacocks are associated with various gods. It functions as the mountain of Kartikeya, the god of war, and is also connected to Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and learning. Living feathers are often used in religious rituals, dances and decorations. In other parts of the world, peacocks also wear rich symbolism. In ancient Greece, the peacock was connected to the goddess Hera, and was a symbol of resurrection and immortality as the flesh was not forged in Christianity. Bird Springs also found a place in art, fashion and folklore in many cultures. Conservation and Human Effects Indian peacocks are currently not dangerous, but are under threat due to loss, hunting and illegal pet trade. In some rural areas, they are considered pests due to damage to the harvest. However, their cultural significance and protected status in India helped them maintain. Conservationists emphasize how important it is to maintain natural habitats and clarify local populations about the ecological role of peacocks. Many national parks and wildlife in India provide safe ports for these birds. Continuing efforts to protect forest areas and promote coexistence between humans and wildlife are key to enabling future generations to experience the wonders of peacocks. Conclusion is a peacock with its bright wings and elegant presence. It embodies a wall carpet of cultural, ecological and symbolic values, not just beautiful birds. Whether in the wild, celebrated in stories or worshiped in temples, Peacock continues to encourage we respect and admiration from around the world.
