Life Does Not Become Us

We Become Life

Caress that little leaf in your hands,

With tender care,

For if not handled with love,

It can break,

Just like a human heart,

Do not just water,

Feed your flowers and plants,

They feel hungry,

And they eat,

Just like humans eat to survive,

When you step outside,

Don't just walk on the grass,

feel it,

See its luxurious greens,

Or rich golden browns,

Nourish the soil,

So the grass can grow,

Just like our nutrients nourish us,

Making our hair endlessly flow,

Feel the wind coming from the trees,

Don't just breathe in the oxygen,

Smell it,

Fresh,

After the rain,

And you will realise,

Trees feel happy,

And,

They feel pain,

Feed the birds food and drink,

Make sure insects feed in healthy soils,

Shake the seeds from the trees,

So every life can stay healthy,

Relish the thunderstorm in every way,

For with every storm,

Comes the rain,

Rain is needed to nourish the land,

Though never cherished,

It's life's demand,

Wake up in the morning,

Embrace what you see,

Whether a golden sun,

Or a sky full of misery,

This is Mother Nature trying to do,

What is right,

Without her,

Nature and humans would die on life's flight;

We were not granted the luxury of

Abandoning nature,

We were born with a job;

To look after our planet,

Life cannot survive without us,

And we cannot survive without life;

We must all come together,

Grow to love this beautiful spinning sphere,

And everything here,

Because life sustains us,

And we should all sustain life,

Watch everything in your garden,

With a caring heart,

With a caring mind,

You'll see squirrels, birds, and insects

searching for the food they need to find,

Every day is a bigger struggle for life in nature,

Food becomes scarce,

Habitats become hard to find,

For nature isn't like you and me,

Certain life can't just pop in a shop and

buy their supplies.

I hope you'll see from my poetry,

That we are all blessed to live in,

Such luxury;

Though this world may feel poor,

Making it poorer,

Is not the way to go;

We need money so we can live,

But nature doesn't thrive on cash,

As I'm sure you can see,

For human life;

Sometimes the world can never be enough,

With all of its difficulties,

But it will be less,

If we don't start living with pride,

And dignity,

So;

Next time you take a trip,

Even just to your back garden,

Look around,

And you will see,

Everything lives,

Everything breathes,

And everything breathes life into something else,

Please;

Not just for the sake of humanity,

But,

For the sake of nature,

Because nature creates humanity,

Just for once,

Let's become one,

Full of pride and joy,

Swelling with love for the world we live in,

Coming together for sustainability,

Changing the climate for the better;

Making this Earth that we and many others call home,

Somewhere where we can all live at peace,

In health and happiness,

By not being mean,

To all thoughts of being green,

Thinking about keeping our planet clean,

Learning to thrive in its environment,

So birds can sing,

And,

Snakes can rattle,

Bees can hum,

Fish can swim,

Insects can create their melodies,

Ants can build their tribe,

Remember;

Life does not become us,

We become life;

Life is for every living thing,

And long after we are gone,

Keeping nature healthy will make it thrive.

Remember;

Life does not become us,

We become life;

And long after we are gone,

Keeping nature healthy will make it thrive.
