Bearded dragons are the friendliest reptiles. They get along well with humans and enjoy being handled. They’ve been known to hang out on their owner’s shoulder. Bearded dragons eat greens, leaves, fruit, flowers, and some meat and insects.

Capybaras are the friendliest wild animals. These are large semi-aquatic rodents, and they get along well with birds, cats, camels, humans, and more. Monkeys are very fond of them. Caybaras are calm and compassionate and are known to adopt stray and runt animals.

Dogs are the friendliest pets. Frederick the Great of Prussia was the first person to call dogs “man’s best friend.” American poet Ogden Nash popularized this phrase in a poem. Soon there was no household without at least one dog. They are sensitive and loyal to human emotions. Canines were one of the first species domesticated by Homo sapiens and still play significant roles in our public and personal lives. Dogs are very intelligent and work with humans in law enforcement as officers, bring cheer to hospitals and nursing homes, and assist people with disabilities. Among the friendliest dog breeds are Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and beagles.

Dolphins are the friendliest ocean dwellers. They are playful aquatic mammals dancing on the waves. They travel in large groups known as pods and enjoy chasing boats and ships. Dolphins can be seen frolicking offshore in many places. The military trains dolphins to work as divers.

Goats are also the friendliest farm animals. (pictured above) They are low-maintenance and love to be around humans. Goats tend to snuggle and like to be petted. They have even been called into service to eat brush in forests to prevent fires.

Horses are the friendliest animals for riding. They are known to be majestic, loyal, and emotional. These animals were domesticated around 4000 B.C. People keep horses for competing in riding, just riding, on farms, and as companions. Horses are used to pull carts and farm equipment. It has become common to offer equine therapy as a method of emotional support. They can sleep lying down or standing up and need a barn for hay and a space for themselves.

House cats are the friendliest felines. They make great understanding companions. However, they will also make sure they are comfortable and have all they need despite their owners' needs. Cats are intelligent and very clean animals and will remain loyal. Among the most affectionate are Maine Coon cats.

Llamas are the friendliest pack animals. Handlers have started to bring them to hospitals and nursing homes as therapy animals. They are docile and endearing. If you are considering having a llama, remember they need lots of room, and it is best to have two.

Manatees are friendly aquatic animals. They can be seen coming to the surface when humans are around. These are curious creatures and even enjoy being petted and tend to be gentle and respond well to humans.

Pigs are up there with the friendliest farm animals. Baby piglets are especially adorable. Adult pigs enjoy being around kind people, and they are friendly and intelligent animals that love to run and play. Pigs are trainable and can be used for entertainment. They also have excellent memories.

Rabbits are the friendliest species of long-eared mammals belonging to the family Leporidae, excluding hares (genus Lepus). People enjoy having them as pets with their furry faces and big ears. These herbivores love their greens. Rabbits started becoming pets in the 1800s. They’re very particular about their space and like to keep things clean.

Sheep are the friendliest farm animals and are an important part of the agricultural landscape. They have no problem with human companionship. Lovable and woolly, they are so adorable. Sheep have meek and docile personalities, so they are the choice for petting zoos.

Swans are the friendliest birds and are soothed by human voices. They will not shy away from human contact but will fiercely protect their babies, or cygnets. Swans are always a lovely sight gliding along.
