Witchinit Ways Alter Existence
Cackles over steaming cauldrons filled with toil and trouble. Toad tails, black hats, and cats, yes, this charm is firm and good. While all of this is relative to the witch, linking back to tales steeped in history, it’s not the whole story.

Saving the Earth One Farm at a Time
The earth is struggling. There is no doubt. Pollution has had a toll on the planet, leaving plastics in our oceans and contaminating our air. However, there are ways we can stop if not reverse some of this damage. One of those is through restorative agriculture.

Wounded
I’d gone in the house quickly to change clothes so that I’d have long sleeves over my arms and jeans to cover my legs. I chose an old army cold-gear physical training shirt to help me remember a time I’d discovered I was more capable than I’d ever believed myself to be. I wasn’t brave enough to try to catch the winged raptor without extra fabric over my skin as a precaution. However wounded he might be, he still made it clear that he had a lot of fight left in him. When I first went out to the back fence, the 5 dogs had stood checking him out and yelling their aggravation at his audacity to stand so close to their yard. His ruffled feathers stated clearly his own displeasure of the situation and he kept his golden eyes fixed on the biggest dog nearest the gate. He would occasionally sneak a glance quickly to see if there were any threats coming closer from the other side in his distraction. As he moved further away from the dogs, he held his wings arching up toward the sky—unable to take off; and high-stepped a little bit at a time with his feathered pants flittering about in the autumn breeze.

Journal of the End?
"It's eerily quiet" I said to Vince. "No, not any more than usual" he answers while he tinkers with yet another piece of wood to use as a fire poker and sometimes wolf deterrent. "Ugh, would you stop what you're doing for a second and listen to me?" I grab his arm urgently but not enough to cause pain. He looks at me startled, then sees the look on my face. I mouth "Shhhhh" and hold my index finger up to my mouth with my other hand. He looks up into the sky, takes a deep breath, and exhales as he brings his head back down with his eyes closed. Closed, so he can really listen. We stand there quiet, with just the faintest rustle of leaves above from the tall oaks and sycamores that surround us.

A Letter to Senegal
Dear Senegal, I am writing to thank you. I know it has been a long time since I visited you in 2016 but you changed my life. You inspired me to stand up and take action; something that I have since done. I will forever be grateful for the lessons you taught me and so I wanted to share with you my journey. The journey starts and ends with you.

Children of Earth
Children of Earth....this may sound like something out of a cheesy 90's sci-fi show but I challenge you to think about this just a little bit more. What does it mean? Humans? Animals? Other things that may exist on Earth that we still don't acknowledge?

Geology
My name is Genevieve and I’m currently 28 years old. There’s really no better place to begin than the beginning though forgive me for my less specific time frame as I recently lost 14 + years of my memory and as of now, the past is still like a dream. I had everything I could need. A good family, a fulfilling life, a smart mind, etc. Unfortunately, I have bipolar disorder and suffer from major depression. I’ve always been talented at almost everything I give a try, but life felt like a pressure I didn’t understand and couldn’t handle. A couple of years after high school and some time at a community college, I chose to take a Geology 1 course during the summer that was 5 days a week, 5 hours a day, for 5 weeks. It sounded slightly intriguing and like a challenge I desperately needed. Now, I was most certainly not a straight A student. I often barely passed classes with C’s. One issue was my ADHD and another was the depression, but most of all I struggled with a complete lack of motivation. See, I did anything you could think of as a child. I traveled all over, danced tap and ballet, played the flute, played the viola, participated in multiple clubs like chess, math, etc. My need to explore was being filled. When I got to college, I realized I had absolutely no idea as to what I wanted my path in life to be. At least, until I found Geology.

This Is Peace.
The minute I hear the leaves and twigs crackle underfoot, the serotonin begins to seep into my pores. As the breeze tickles its way through the trees, blowing errant strands of hair across my cheek, I exhale deeply. This, I think to myself, is peace.

The three passions that make me whole
I grew up believing that something you were passionate about was supposed to be a hobby. Something you did on the side when you had some time away from work. Work, which was supposed to be something you did day in, day out, without much joy, but that which would bring you the necessary money to support yourself and a family, should you have one.

7 Billion Authentic Stories
In the wise words of Jim Carrey, I'm tired of living my life out of fear disguised as practicality. He once stated, "What we want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we never dare to ask the universe for it."
