We also witnessed the evening aarti at the ghat, which was a mesmerizing experience.

Day 2: Haridwar to Guptkashi The next day, we started our journey towards Guptkashi, which is the base camp for the Kedarnath yatra. The road journey was long and tiring, but the scenic beauty of the Himalayas kept us mesmerized throughout the journey. We reached Guptkashi by evening and checked into a hotel. We spent the evening exploring the local market and preparing ourselves for the next day’s trek.

Day 3: kashi to kedarnath The third day was the most challenging of all as we had to undertake a 16 km trek to reach Kedarnath. We woke up early in the morning and started our trek. The temple is situated amidst snow-capped mountains and is believed to be one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism.

Day 4: Kedarnath to Guptkashi The fourth day was a relaxed one as we had completed the Kedarnath yatra. We spent the day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Kedarnath and interacting with the locals. We also visited the Shankaracharya Samadhi, which is situated near the temple. In the evening, we started our journey back to Guptkashi, where we stayed for the night.

Day 5: Guptkashi to Badrinath The fifth day was the start of our Badrinath yatra. We started our journey towards Badrinath, which is situated at a height of 3,133 meters. The road journey was long, but the scenic beauty of the Himalayas kept us mesmerized throughout. We reached Badrinath by evening and checked into a hotel.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated amidst snow-capped mountains. We also visited the Tapt Kund, which is a natural hot water spring, and the Mana village, which is the last village on the India-China border.

Day 7: Badrinath to Haridwar The seventh day was the last day of our journey, and we started our journey towards Haridwar. The road journey was long, but the scenic beauty of the Himalayas kept us mesmerized throughout. We reached Haridwar by evening and boarded the train back to Delhi.
