Imagine that you have only two days to spend in Singapore. You will be in a fix, right? This futuristic city houses many enthralling experiences which every traveller would like to experience. Whether it's the green spaces, architectural wonders, or cultural experiences, Singapore is a paradise worth exploring for curious minds. So, sit back, relax, and read on to learn how to make the most of your 48-hour stay in this city.

Visit historical landmarks

Though Singapore is known as a modern city, there are still places which you can find roots from the past. Fort Canning Park is a good place where you can trace the origins of Singapore’s multifaceted bygone era. This destination was a focal point during the Malay reign. It was also Sir Stamford Raffles’ residence and a central point during World War II. You can witness an underground bunker, which has been termed a Battlebox, there. Other historic features you can witness in this destination include the spiral staircase and Fort Canning Gate.

Apart from its historical significance, the place is also filled with lush greenery. This is a great spot to enjoy nature and tranquillity.

A few more historical landmarks there that you might like to visit during your two-day visit to Singapore city include Sultan Mosque, Fort Siloso, Civilian War Memorial and Thian Hock Keng Temple.

Unwind a bit in green settings

Anyone visiting Singapore knows that you cannot leave the country before visiting one of its unique attractions: Gardens by the Bay. This green space blends technology with nature seamlessly. Its highlight is probably the globally-famous Supertree Grove. Flower Dome and Cloud Forest also provide visitors with unforgettable experiences. They will be given a peek into the plant life growing in two diverse settings. You can also enjoy the Garden Rhapsody show there. This is an ideal location for a day out with your family.

Those who are staying at a hotel in Havelock Road Singapore, will also be able to visit places like Singapore Botanic Gardens, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, and Chek Jawa Wetlands.

Taste delicious local cuisine and engage in shopping

Want to get some shopping done but running out of time? Not to worry. You can either head out to Chinatown or Little India to find a variety of goods under one roof at affordable prices in these street markets. You can buy clothes, jewellery, spices, and groceries in Little India, which has Indian influences, while Chinatown is a place which houses products of Chinese origin like souvenirs, trinkets and crafts.

You can also visit some ancient religious sites like the Sri Veeramakaliamman temple and the Sri Mariamman Temple at each of these sites. These showcase different architectural styles and cultures. Treat yourself to some delicious dishes at the many street food outlets there, which offer local delicacies for budget-friendly prices. If you have a taste for spicy and flavourful Indian dishes like parata, idli and dosa, visit Little India, while Chinatown is the ideal place for Chinese cuisine like fresh Dim Sum and noodles-based dishes.

Experience nightlife

There are diverse and lively nightlife entertainment items offered in Singapore. They range from bars to clubs and high-end restaurants, which offer a variety of events to keep you engaged. If you place yourself in an accommodation like Copthorne King's Hotel Singapore, you will be within walking distance of Clarke Quay. This is a spirited setting where nightlife thrives. You can find many bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants dotting the area along the Singapore River. River cruises are also popular there, besides dining experiences. You will be able to enjoy stunning views, especially after dark, when the place has been lit by neon lights.

If you are a history junkie, do not forget to check out the old warehouses and shophouses in this location. These embody Teochew-style features and are great for taking some pictures to remind yourself about your trip to this area.

You can indulge in some last-minute shopping by visiting the high-end boutiques or retail outlets. Clarke Quay Central, in particular, is a great place to visit to grab some souvenirs or keepsakes to remind you of your journey before heading home after an eventful stay.
