Climate change is also causing coral bleaching, a phenomenon in which the algae living within the coral die off, leading to the death of the coral. Coral reefs are important ecosystems that support a diverse range of marine life, and their loss could have devastating impacts on the world's oceans.

In addition to affecting ecosystems, climate change also has serious implications for human societies. Rising temperatures are leading to changes in agricultural productivity and water availability, leading to food and water scarcity. In addition, reforestation and afforestation programs can help to sequester carbon from the atmosphere, while also providing other benefits such as habitat restoration and erosion control.

Adaptation strategies are also necessary to cope with the impacts of climate change that are already occurring. These strategies include measures such as improving water management and irrigation systems, developing drought-resistant crops, and building coastal defenses to protect against sea-level rise and storm surges. In addition, early warning systems for extreme weather events and disease outbreaks can help to mitigate the impacts of these events.
