Cheating Death? A reality!
Perhaps a little long sleep!

Enter cryogenic sleep, the shimmering bridge between science fiction and reality, where the boundaries of human exploration are stretched beyond imagination, a glimpse into the future where we rest, frozen in time, until the distant tomorrow when the stars themselves become our neighbors. Cryogenic sleep, represents a frontier in human preservation and the potential for extended life.
This suspended animation is indeed a fascinating concept that has been a staple of science fiction for many years. The idea of putting humans into a deep sleep-like state for long-duration space travel or even for medical purposes has captured the imagination of both scientists and writers. While the concept is intriguing, it's important to distinguish between the science fiction portrayal of cryogenic sleep and the current state of real-world research and technology..
However, research was being conducted to explore the possibilities of putting astronauts into a state of hibernation or suspended animation for space travel. NASA has been working on a cryogenic sleep chamber for astronauts in collaboration with spaceworks.
So let’s see how is it done? Too good to be true huh?
First you must be already legally dead ! Yes you read it right! You have to first die if you want to cryogenically cheat death.
And here’s comes the procedure,
The basic idea is to lower the body temperature to a level that induces a hibernation-like state. During this state, the body’s metabolic processes slow down significantly, reducing the need for food, oxygen, and other life support resources. Catheters or similar devices are used to provide necessary nutrition and remove waste. The body will then be cooled on dry ice until it reaches minus 202 degrees Fahrenheit at which point it will be placed in a container inside a larger metal tank that will be filled with liquid nitrogen to keep it at around -320 degrees Fahrenheit. Reminds me about Avatar 😊.May sound simple, actually not, this is an extremely serious complicated procedure, but who cares! You are already dead! But going to loose the chance of waking up in the future☹..
Well, The southern hemisphere's first known cryonics facility is located on the outskirts of a small rural town in Southern New South Wales. Cryonicists hope that this facility will soon have its first patients frozen in liquid nitrogen. The price for freeze storage is $150,000 plus a $350 yearly subscription fee. However, there are no guarantees that patients will be able to be brought back to life in 200 years.
While the concept is promising, it's important to note that we are not at the stage where we can achieve "sci-fi grade" cryogenic sleep, where people can be frozen for centuries and then awakened without any ill effects. The challenges in achieving this level of suspended animation are significant and include concerns about tissue damage, cryoprotectants, and the impact on human health. Moreover, the technology is still in the experimental stage, and its safety and effectiveness for extended space missions or medical applications have yet to be fully proven. Fortunately you're already dead, so no need to worry.
As scientific research continues, there may be more breakthroughs in the fields of anti-aging, regenerative medicine, and life extension, but it is highly unlikely that we will ever reach a point where humans become biologically immortal in the traditional sense portrayed in science fiction and mythology.
But let’s hope it to become a reality. Imagine waking up in a ultra modern futuristic world! Well that’s beyond my imagination 😊

great work keep it up
Sakuni, your writing is well-informed and engaging. You provide a good overview of the concept of cryogenic sleep, both the science fiction portrayal and the current state of research and technology.
