At $5,511,500, the Rockefeller emerald ring remains the most expensive and highest price ever that an emerald ever sold for. The ring is made of a platinum gold band, and the single stone is mounted atop on prongs.
2. The Afghan Emerald
In 2015, this exceptional emerald ring sold for HK$17,560,000. The emerald was obtained from one of the rare mines of the world found in Panjshir Valley, near Kabul, Afghanistan.
It’s made of a unique full-round silver band, with a huge 10.11 ct emerald ring set in the middle. It’s worth $225,000 per carat and is known as the most expensive emerald gemstone gotten from Afghanistan.
