X-Men: God Loves Man Kills

The Essential X-Men Story

By Kelsey ClareyPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Cover of the trade paperback version of God Loves, Man Kills from Marvel Comics. Writing by Claremont, Art by Anderson

I call this Claremont's thesis as an X-Men writer. While certain panels might not have aged well, the X-Men's story of civil rights and discrimination is perfectly condensed into this one book. This is the X-Men.

If you read only one X-Men comic in your life, please read this one.

I've watched the cartoon and the movies and been debating trying a comic. I might try this one when I get around to it.

This really is the quintessential X-Men arc.

  • I've only watched the X-men cartoon as a kid! Loved your review!
