Who remembers taking a typing class in high school? At my school, believee it or not it was requirement to graduate. You had to take at least one year of typewriting, but I took both courses. As I said when writing my acrostic entitled 'Old Typewriter' I also remembered these two courses.

Typewriting or in general just typing

your way to a neater way to show your work

Page by page on paper.

Experiencing in a way a faster way to write and

writing out reports, tables, memorandums, etc.

Reading handwritten copy for clearer understanding and

indicating a chance to write more, even if there's a chance for

typos occurring in your work.

Indicating a chance to proofread a hard copy of your work and

noticing signs of erasures, not usually allowed.

Gaining speed and accuracy with what is called Timed Writings and faster typing, but now with all forms of computers there is now 'Touch typing' and I say bring back the manuals or even the IBM Selectrics.
