Are we truly ourselves? Are our opinions really ours? Or is there an unseen force controlling us?

This question crossed my mind during a gathering with friends, where everyone was talking loudly about their opinions. The discussion heated up, like a battle ring, with each person fighting to the last breath, "until the victory of their facts."

Some of their facts are shaped by upbringing, while others are learned from life’s teachers—our own experiences. Others may come from trustworthy sources, while some remain unclear in origin.

However, in any case, it seems there is only one truth. Shouts fill the air as everyone fights to prove their point.

I thought the purpose of listening was to understand, but here, the situation was different. The words never reached anyone’s mind. The purpose of listening was just a break to think about how to present your case when it’s your turn.

Everyone wants to tug at the rope of truth. But the point isn’t the truth itself—it’s whose facts will win.

The situation felt suspicious; I began to realize the extent of the tragedy we are living in—a factory of truths that controls us. And of course, I’ll never forget the disastrous factory and the mastermind behind it all: social media.

Social media and the news manipulate our minds like puppets on strings. The content we consume shapes the person we are today, and It doesn’t belong to us. It becomes a fake truth that we believe in, shaping our thoughts and opinions without us even noticing it.

And so, the world has become ever-changing, the fog spreads everywhere, and no one can see a thing.

Values, morals, right, wrong—everything is now in tatters. Each of us holds onto a corner of the paper, swearing it’s the absolute truth.

Despite all these fake truths, there is one truth that everyone agrees on: we have become a real conflict.

Are your facts truly the truth, or are they a product of a factory you don’t know about yet? Do your words and opinions really reflect who you are, or are you still under the control of a superpower? Most importantly: Do you realize it, or are you still under the influence of numbness?

Who you are and where your truth comes from is the most important fact we must dig into.
