From the depths of Lake Lachrymose to the workings of the Lucky Smells Lumbermill the Baudelaire children are caught up in another nasty and sad predicament. In this volume it is Klaus who is the main character for it is about his glasses and how hypnosis can affect all people in many ways and means to get what one wants. Count Olaf is always around in some form or another. Will these three children really ever find a home that feels love?
