Keep me far, far away from this story
Star Wars may be a cinematic favourite but the magic fades after repeated viewings.
First, the Jedi are nonsense - pretentious, pseudo-spiritual white Englishmen pretending to be Japanese Samurai in outer space.
Worse, it’s depressing. Plucky rebels win one-off battles but never overthrow the dark overlords. Evil always prevails!
Disappointing!
