My top 10 disgusting, cruel, and hard-to-watch movies...
They are not for weaklings

There are films that are extreme, whether because of their terror, their disgust, or simply because of how sadistic they are. Based on this, here are my top ten of these types of films, and if you're brave, I recommend them to you.
10. Funny Games (1997)
In short, they show us how two young people take over a house where a family is staying, and at the same time, they play all kinds of sadistic games with them. Personally, I prefer the 1997 version to the 2007 version, although both are good and very entertaining.

9. Irreversible (2002)
It's one of the few films that makes us question whether art has limits, because maybe it wasn't necessary to show a rape for nine minutes...

8. Freaks (1932)
What makes this film shocking, in my opinion, is that all the actors truly had those qualities. At that time, the advanced technology we have today to create those effects didn't exist. If they manage to find it, it's a difficult film to watch.

7. A Clockwork Orange (1971)
One of the best, if not the best after Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be "ironic." I recommend it to everyone: it's a very entertaining film to watch and a classic like no other.

6. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
It had to be on this list because it's an unforgettable classic. It's one of the pioneers of the slasher genre we know today, simply irreplaceable.

5. The Human Centipede (2009)
Disgusting and very sadistic. In short, a mad scientist kidnaps people and joins them by sewing their mouths to their rectums. Disgusting, but it's the best of the three. It's questionable whether there are three films about this, but it's certainly a difficult experience to watch.

4. the evil dead (1981)
This is a film that, at least for me, is disturbing. It has a good plot and is an excellent choice if you want to be truly scared.

3. The Exorcist (1973)
This is considered the scariest film in history. It deserves to be in this position: it marked a turning point in the genre thanks to its rawness. I recommend it because it truly manages to disturb you.

2. Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
This film is incredibly traumatic. It's very visceral, and in addition to having an unpleasant plot, it depicts real animal deaths. It's horrifying, and it definitely divided audiences. In my opinion, it's not for everyone: it's unpleasant and difficult to watch.

1. Salò or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975)
At number one, one of the most horrific films—if not the most horrific—in history. In short, three millionaires kidnap people and act out their wildest fantasies with them. A disgusting film that probably even led to the death of its director, Pier Paolo Pasolini, who was found dead days after its release. The cause of his murder was never clarified. Given its context and history, this film strikes me as the most unpleasant to watch.
