Luis Rubiales apologized for kissing Jenni Hermoso

Machismo contributes to a violent society and is a form of sexual violence women suffer on a daily basis. It is something that we cannot normalize.

We can fight against machismo by speaking up about it to family members who perpetuate it. We can also engage with our family and start a conversation about gender roles and stereotypes. We can challenge machismo by promoting gender equality and respect for all genders. We can also pass legislation that condemns sexism and criminalizes sexist hate speech. It is important to raise awareness about the phenomenon and eliminate it.
