Great Home Cooking in America
Just finished reading an old cookbook that I had stored away. It was compiled by the Food Editors of Farm Journal. I have really read a cookbook before, and I thought I would share this one. This is a cookbook that shares recipes that go back to colonial America as well as recipes that originated from the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle Eastern countries and North and South America. The book also gives a brief historical introduction before each section of recipes. The color plates are really vivid and pretty of all the various kinds of foods of the world and how when the creators of the recipes brought them over some families did make some variations of the recipes of time.

Dogmatic Leaders
When leaders and political masterminds of the world give orders to start a war, do they empathize with people? Do they think of individuals as fragile beings that may get broken, destroyed, or killed? Or do they count them in numbers as part of the statistics that will determine whether they will win a war or not? How long has the world been ruled by such dogmatic leaders?

Is Philosophy Still Relevant in Modern Life?
I believe in the vast expanse of human inquiry, philosophy and science stand as enduring pillars of understanding, each offering unique insights and methodologies. Philosophy, characterized by critical analysis and logical argumentation, delves into fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, and the nature of reality. Science, on the other hand, relies on empirical evidence and experimentation to understand the natural world and produce testable explanations.

THE ZONE OF INTEREST and the Sound of Horror
"'The little snow white bird flew down and sang, 'Be warned, be warned.' Gretel understood what the witch had in mind, and said, 'Please show me first, I don’t know how to do that.' The witch sat on the shovel, and Gretel pushed her into the oven, as deep as she could. Then she closed the iron door of the oven, and secured it with a bar. The witch got cooked alive as a punishment for her horrible deeds.'"

Artist's story poem
Who and what are artists? Do you draw, write, sing or take pictures? Do you use a pen and paper or a computer or do use a paintbrush or sculptors' tool with clay or stone or musicians with their music whatever the style? An artist is one who can show an image in words or show through using various colors or other forms of media like a photograph. Artists are people who see people and things in a different light for how other 'regular' people see things. We share our stories in words as writers and images as artists and photographers and sculptors. We share our ideas and dreams with all who care and want to see and hear our work.

Captive Star
'Captive Star' a romance mystery novel written by Nora Roberts is the second in a series. This is a continuation of 'Hidden Star' but this is the story of MJ, a bartender/owner and Jack, a skip tracer and a misunderstanding of who is who and what needs to be done. Once again Nora Roberts has the reader visualizing the whole page-turning story.
