A Week Unable to Post On Vocal
Introduction
On the 12th of May 2025, I started my last post on my Vocal main account. I completed and published it on the 13th. I then started another story, and it wouldn't publish. So I waited, and retried. Just the same.

Why This Hurts
This week I expected to publish my three thousandth story on Vocal, but my account is now stagnating at 2,990, and my read count is down to about twenty-five a day.
I have published more than ten stories this week on this backup account, but because it is not Vocal+, I only get paid half the rate I get for my main account.
Last night, I contacted Creatd, Vocal's parent company, about the situation. They said someone would get back to me. They didn't.
Many years ago, I heard a story about a European and an American Office planning a project meeting. The Americans put forward a Saturday date, but the Europeans said NO, they did not work weekends. Eventually, a Monday was agreed and the phones were put down. After that, these words were said:
Americans: "Can you believe the Europeans? They are so lazy, they don't work weekends"
Europeans: "Can you believe the Americans? They are so inefficient, they have to work weekends!"
I don't know if this applies to Creatd and Vocal, but they are not answering.
I am sure that they will come back and the system will be fixed, but at the moment, this is hurting me and a lot of other Vocal Creators.
We can only wait for a response, and I hope it comes soon.
As I finish writing this, "Who Do You Love?" by Bo Diddley is on the player and is sort of right for this story. The live performance I included is stunning, you should watch it or have it playing while you read this.

I can relate to your frustration with the publishing issues. I've had similar problems with platforms not working as expected. It's annoying when you can't get your work out there. And waiting for a response from support can be agonizing. Have you tried reaching out to them again? Maybe they overlooked your initial message. As for the pay difference on the backup account, that stinks. It makes you wonder if it's really worth it. Do you think it's better to focus on the main account and try to get it back on track? Or keep posting on both and hope for the best?
I hope Creatd/Vocal gets back to you (and all of us) soon. That story about the Americans and Europeans is such a good reminder of how perspectives differ. And great music choice Bo Diddley always adds the right kind of edge.
