Wild Thingz Skin Food: A Waste of Time and Money: My Disappointing Experience

I have always been someone who enjoys trying out new skincare brands, especially those that claim to use natural, eco-friendly ingredients.

I have always been someone who enjoys trying out new skincare brands, especially those that claim to use natural, eco-friendly ingredients. When I stumbled upon Wild Thingz Skin Food, I was intrigued. Their website promised handmade products, cruelty-free formulations, and a focus on sustainability. I decided to give them a try, ordering two items: the Wild Thingz French Awakening Green Clay Fresh Mask and the Wild Ginger Rice Shampoo Bars. What followed was a frustrating, disappointing, and ultimately expensive experience that I regret. In this review, I’ll be sharing the details of why Wild Thingz Skin Food was a complete waste of time and money, and why I will never recommend this brand to anyone.

The Initial Excitement and Order Process

When I first visited the Wild Thingz Skin Food website, I was impressed. The visuals were vibrant, and the descriptions of their products sounded too good to pass up. The French Awakening Green Clay Fresh Mask promised deep cleansing with natural clay, while the Wild Ginger Rice Shampoo Bars were marketed as a solution for healthy, nourished hair. As someone who loves supporting small, eco-conscious brands, I was eager to try these products.

On October 5, 2025, I placed my order. I bought both items, paid through their online checkout, and received an immediate confirmation email. The payment process was smooth, and I felt excited to receive my products. At that point, everything seemed promising.

The Long Wait and Growing Concerns

The excitement quickly faded as days turned into weeks with no updates on my order. I expected a delay, but after three weeks, I still hadn’t received any tracking information or even a simple update on when my products would arrive. I was starting to get frustrated. No email, no shipping confirmation nothing.

I decided to reach out to their customer service team, asking for an update. I sent an email, politely asking when I could expect my order, but received no response. A few days later, I followed up again. This time, I received a very brief reply saying, “Your order will ship soon.” That was it. No tracking link, no apology for the delay just vague and unhelpful communication.

By now, my excitement had turned into irritation. I was no longer confident that I would be receiving my products anytime soon. After another week with no word from the company, I started to wonder whether I would ever see my order.

The Disastrous Delivery and Quality of the Products

Finally, after nearly a month, my products arrived. I was relieved, but that relief was short-lived. The packaging was poor nothing like the neat, branded packaging I had seen online. There was no return label or even a receipt included in the box. But the real disappointment came when I opened the products.

The French Awakening Green Clay Fresh Mask was thick and clumpy, not at all the smooth texture I expected from a clay mask. Even worse, it had an unpleasant, artificial smell that made it difficult to apply. It didn’t feel refreshing or invigorating as described. The Wild Ginger Rice Shampoo Bars were no better. They had an odd, greasy texture and didn’t lather properly. After using them, my hair felt dry and weighed down, not soft and nourished as promised. The scent was also overpowering and unpleasant, lingering in my hair long after the wash.

The Customer Service Nightmare

At this point, I was beyond frustrated. Not only had I spent a significant amount of money on these products, but I had also wasted nearly a month waiting for a delivery that was nothing short of disappointing. I reached out to customer service again, this time asking for a refund or replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning the products, but I felt entitled to some form of compensation for the poor experience.

My email went unanswered. I tried messaging them on social media, but still received no response. It was clear that Wild Thingz Skin Food did not care about customer satisfaction. This lack of communication and support made the experience even worse. It was evident that the company was either too overwhelmed or simply didn’t prioritize customer service.

Lessons Learned from My Disastrous Purchase

This entire experience taught me several important lessons about shopping for skincare products online especially from smaller, lesser-known brands. Here are a few takeaways that I hope will help others avoid making the same mistake:

Research customer reviews carefully.

I didn’t do enough research before buying. While the website looked professional, I should have searched for independent reviews on platforms like Trustpilot, Google, or social media. Wild Thingz Skin Food didn’t have many external reviews, and now I see why.

Test customer service before buying.

If you’re unsure about a new brand, test their customer service before placing an order. I didn’t, and I regret it. A quick inquiry about shipping or ingredients could have alerted me to the company’s poor communication.

Be cautious of exaggerated claims.

When a brand makes bold promises of “natural,” “handmade,” or “eco-friendly” products, it’s essential to proceed with caution. While these terms are appealing, they can often be used without much evidence. The Wild Thingz Skin Food products didn’t meet the expectations set by their website.

Don’t overspend on unverified brands.

Wild Thingz Skin Food was not cheap, and I feel like I overpaid for subpar products. I should have done more research into the brand’s track record and their reviews before making such an investment.

Why I Can’t Recommend Wild Thingz Skin Food

After everything I went through waiting weeks for my products, receiving poor-quality items, and dealing with an unresponsive customer service team I can confidently say I do not recommend Wild Thingz Skin Food. The products were subpar at best, and the customer service was practically nonexistent. For a brand that claims to focus on quality and sustainability, they completely failed to deliver.

I am extremely disappointed, not just because of the money I lost but because I genuinely wanted to support a small business that seemed to care about its customers. Unfortunately, my experience suggests that Wild Thingz Skin Food is not a brand that can be trusted to provide high-quality products or meaningful customer service.

Final Thoughts

I would advise anyone considering Wild Thingz Skin Food to think twice before making a purchase. It’s clear that this brand doesn’t live up to the standards it sets for itself online, and as a consumer, I feel misled. The products did not perform as promised, and the lack of communication only made the experience worse.

Online shopping for skincare can be a gamble, but there are so many better options out there that offer quality, reliable products and strong customer service. Based on my experience, Wild Thingz Skin Food is not a brand worth your time or money.

I hope my review helps others make a more informed decision. If you value your time, money, and skin, I suggest looking elsewhere.
