THE UNCOUNTED MYSTERY
The disappearance of pirojpur: a night of secret

Pirojpur village in 2007, the village was as beautiful as a picture. Surrounded by green trees, birdsong and captivating nature. The peaceful Padma River flowed past the village. There was a huge banyan tree on the bank of the river, where a shepherd would sit and play his flute. We friends would all play the shepherd's flute together. The river was very crowded during the month of Baishakh. People of all ages would come and gather on the bank of the river. Some would sing songs, some would ride boats. And we friends would enjoy playing cricket and football. The boys of our village had a cricket team called 'Padma Fighters'. We all played very well. We often played with the neighboring village. One afternoon, we went on a boat trip on the Padma River with some friends. Seeing the beauty of the river and singing songs filled our hearts with joy. Suddenly, we saw a little girl sitting alone on the bank of the river, crying. The girl told me that she had come to see the river alone, but had lost her way. We, as friends, took the girl with us and returned her to her mother after a lot of searching.
This is how the days passed. Suddenly, one day, a friend of our village went missing. The boy's name was Rafiq. Rafiq was very sociable and cheerful. Everyone in our village became very worried after hearing the news of his disappearance. We all went out to search for him, but no trace of him was found for two days. Finally, his body was found on the bank of the river. The body was so badly mutilated that it was unrecognizable. Foxes and vultures had eaten his body. The police came and took the body. After the autopsy, it was found that the boy had been murdered. But who or what killed him is still unknown. Everyone in our village was very devastated by this incident. There was no sports or festival in the village for almost a year. We all had tears in our eyes seeing the suffering of Rafiq's family.
After Rafiq's death, fear entered the minds of the people of our village. They were afraid to go out of the house alone after evening. The number of people on the banks of the Padma River had also decreased. We, as friends, decided that we would solve the mystery of this murder ourselves. We kept searching in different places, but could not find any clues. One day, we learned that Rafiq had had a fight with Sabuj, another boy from our village, a few days ago. We went to Sabuj. Sabuj did not want to talk to us at first. We tried to convince him in various ways. But Sabuj said that he did not know anything. We did not give up, we kept asking him in various ways. At one point, Sabuj broke down a bit. He said that he had seen Rafiq by the river in the afternoon on the day Rafiq disappeared. However, nothing had happened between them. Sabuj also said that he had returned home soon after seeing Rafiq for the last time. We could not fully believe Sabuj. We suspected that Sabuj might be hiding something. We tried to interrogate him further, but he did not want to say anything more. We also talked to Rafiq's other friends. We learned from them that Rafiq had been very worried for some time. He often stayed alone and didn't talk to anyone. We thought there might be a reason behind Rafiq's changes. But we couldn't find out the reason.
Then we went to Rafiq's house. We talked to his mother. Rafiq's mother told us that Rafiq had received a letter a few days before he disappeared. Rafiq had been very restless since receiving the letter. But he hadn't told anyone about the letter. Rafiq's mother showed us the letter. We were surprised to read the letter. The letter said, "You have to meet us very soon. Otherwise, something very bad will happen." But there was no name or address of the sender on the letter. We thought that this letter might be the reason for Rafiq's death. But we couldn't figure out who wrote this letter.
We decided that we had to find out the sender of this letter at any cost. We kept searching in different places in the village. But to no avail. Finally, we decided to seek help from the police. The police came and saw the letter and said that it was not an ordinary letter. There must be a big mystery behind this. The police assure us that they will solve this mystery very soon.
But the police have not been able to solve that mystery yet. Rafiq's killer is still out of reach. We, friends, are still trying to unravel the mystery of Rafiq's murder. We believe that one day or another we will be able to find the murderer.
May such an incident never happen in anyone else's life.
