The treasure book
The little black book map to riches.

I started to run for my life, when they started to shot at us in the building. I knew this was not going to be easy with other parties looking for the same treasure as us. "Run!" yelled Corey to the others in the group. Half the party ran upstairs and the other half us ran down the hallway. Then as I ran down the hall, I trip and the little black book slide out of my hand and hit the wall. I saw someone by the wall with a a gun, so I rolled into the open door to get away. "Corey, are you all right?" Yelled Jennifer. But before I get to far ahead of myself in this story, let me take you back to the began when this all started.
My name is Corey S Jones. I had a normal life, gowning up but I never thought one thing from my past would change my life forever. When I mean it changes my life, I never thought I was member of the gold watchers in the world. And I will get to what that mean but let me continue telling you about myself. I am a 26 years old, college student and I work for my parents at a paper company. I am going to school to become a professor and I have trying to get over my ex, who was a big part of my life. When I am not working or doing school work, I hang out with old friends and new ones as well. We do a lot of different things, from going to the movies, playing video games, collecting comics and much more nerd things. So when I was younger, my grandfather gave me a little black book, it was a gift for one of my birthdays. I did not think anything about it because I was like ten years old when I got the gift, so I was not really into books but since it is the only thing I have the reminds me of him. I keep it with me all the time, I keep in my room or in my backpack when I am at school. What made this book very different was that it was black cover, front to back but the pages where golden tip on the edges. It looked like a frosting on a cupcake. just on the tip of the pages but what was inside was a lot of numbers, dates and codes. There was a few words in Portuguese, but I had no idea how to read it.
The one thing my grandfather would always tell me about the book was, "to not let it out of my hands and that there more to it then meets the eyes." I always thought my grandfather was a little crazy but maybe it was because he was old or there was something he never told me about the book as well. Now, the reason I talked about my ex being a big part of my life was because she could read Portuguese and she actually is one of the people that had joined my on this quest to find the treasure. Her name is Jennifer Hill, and I knew her since we were in grade school and as time went on we try dating and we fell apart. Jennifer was so beautiful, she had these blue eyes that looked like the ocean on a sunny day, with golden strawberry hair and skin soft as new born kitten. I always wanted to go back to meet her but in time our path would cross again. "I wonder what she is up to now?" I asked myself as I loading up my backpack with school supplies and getting ready for to go to school. As I was getting ready I hear the door down stair open and then a gun shot. I hear my mom screaming and then another gun shot when off. Her screams stopped. I grabbed my backpack and opened my door to see who it was that shot off the gun in the house. All I could see was three men walked into the house and then I saw this guy, name Todd, who was the guy at my grandfather funeral. "What hell is he doing here?' I asked myself. Then I heard Todd say, "find the boy and get that black book. It the last clue to the Caption Black Beard treasure."
As I hear this, I closed my door slowly and I ran to my bed to grab my backpack and I thought everything I could into and then I looked up to see where the book was, I looked all around the room and then I saw it on the top of the dresser. As soon as I grabbed it, my door knob got shot off and fell to the ground. "Time to go!" I told myself. I ran over the window and got it open. As I step outside, they got in my room. "There he is, Stop!" yelled a guy. I hoped out the window onto the roof and then I ran to the side of the house were the pool was because I need to jump off the roof and run for my life.
