The Face Of The Nurse Baby Killer
How could she?

The breaking story about Lucy Letby, the UK's newborn baby killer nurse, is not only heartbreaking, it is downright infuriating. Letby is accused of killing seven newborn babies and attempting to murder ten more!
Instead of caring for the babies under her care, this sick individual took it upon herself to murder those vulnerable children, at least seventeen defenseless little babies, because she apparently found looking after them all too much. And now we are hearing that it was all so avoidable if only certain members of senior management had listened to the senior doctors who had advised them of their justified and deeply felt suspicions.
Above all, senior management has a duty of care for all patients, but most especially for newborn babies. Indeed, senior management is very handsomely paid for exercising that duty of care that they are contracted to unstintingly carry out. Salaries are in the range of up to 185,000 sterling pounds a year, with the addition of a very attractive pension. At least one of those senior managers retired with a pension reported to be worth about 1.8 million pounds! So it is not as if they were underpaid.
It is now coming out that when doctors tried to alert senior management as to what they suspected was going on, they were told to shut up and apologize to Lucy Letby for their unfounded accusations, which they duly did.
One senior manager who was asked to inform the police about the unusually high number of suspicious deaths of babies responded that he did not want to see the neonatal unit be turned into a crime scene. Good lord, Lucy Letby had already done more than enough to ensure that that would happen, you overpaid incompetent fools.
To make matters worse, Lucy Letby's nursing line managers were trying to cover up for her too! When Letby was suspended she appealed to professionals in the nursing field and succeeded in being re-instated to the neonatal unit, only to continue with her killing ways!
One of the most odious senior managers who was trying to cover up what Lucy Letby was doing, Ian Harvey, even allegedly threatened action with the General Medical Council against the doctors at the neonatal unit, for daring to suggest that Lucy Letby was killing babies.
To add insult to injury, that same senior manager who tried to cover up what was happening is now trying to salvage his name from the effects of those ill-advised bad decisions.
In a statement, Harvey said,
"At this time, my thoughts are with the babies whose treatment has been the focus of the trial and with their parents and relatives who have been through something unimaginable and I am sorry for all their suffering.
"As medical director, I was determined to keep the baby unit safe and support our staff. I wanted the reviews and investigations carried out so that we could tell the parents what had happened to their children. I believe there should be an inquiry that looks at all events leading up to this trial and I will help it in whatever way I can."
Really! Bollocks, absolute bollocks, Mr Harvey, sir. It will take a darn sight more than insincere platitudes to put right the wrongs this man is responsible for.
Harvey claims that "As medical director, I was determined to keep the baby unit safe...." I don't think so, Mr Harvey. You were determined to silence the doctors in a very threatening manner, to keep what was going on under wraps.
However, there is clear evidence that the second part of the first sentence in his statement "...and support our staff." is true enough. Unfortunately, Harvey consciously chose to support the wrong staff, Lucy Letby the baby killer, instead of the doctors who were trying to stop Letby from committing her horrendous crimes against defenseless babies.
It has now been reported by the Daily Telegraph that Harvey has a less than confidence-inspiring history of professional incompetence. The Telegraph reports...
"...that Mr. Harvey was referred to the General Medical Council (GMC) in 2018 following allegations he “misled the public in media statements”, encouraged “an atmosphere of secrecy and fear” and failed to act “appropriately or in a timely manner” when consultants raised concerns." So the man clearly has incriminating form.
Given that this is not his first misdemeanor, I believe it is incumbent upon the authorities to find some way to sanction this man. He certainly needs to be held to account for his lack of appropriate professional action at a time when it was desperately needed. What else did he have to do that was so pressing that he had to abandon his duty of care toward his patients? Especially when those patients included seventeen vulnerable newborn babies!
