The Dragon
Clicking on the keys sounded with an echo in the dimly lit shell of a room. A twin bed, with slept in sheets and thin pillow filled one wall. A book shelf and desk filled the other side of the room. The rest was bare, not lived in. This room as a whole, barely lived in, almost deserted. Rain fell down in large droplets outside, banging against the windows in a fury. The glass creates a fog, as his hands glide across the keys as a pianist does a finely tuned piano. He looks up and in a daze walks over to the window wiping away the condensation with a torn bloody sleeve. Walking back he sits at the desk and sighs before typing again.

Valencia Chasen
She laid her head on the window watched the world pass by through the glass covered in raindrops. Her headphones tucked comfortably in her ears as the song 'Vanilla Baby by Billie Marten' lulled her mind. She glanced at her mother in the driver's seat who had been clutching the wheel so hard that her knuckles were white. It was a new day, a new town, everything felt okay. 'But for how long' she thought to herself as she stared back out the window.

Quandary
1 It was after midnight but the place was lit up like a baseball stadium. I had planned for this unwelcome deterrent by paying an employee to steal a janitor uniform from an unsecured locker inside the bus station days earlier. I had purposely not shaved or showered that day to look as unkempt and in the role as possible. This was going to be a quick score but the getaway would be dangerous; we were going to steal $100,000 from my drug dealers boss.
