Self Defense or Murder: A McDonalds Employee Stabs Her Manager Claims of Bullying
Was it an act of self-defense or murder?
A Detroit McDonald's employee stabs and kills her manager at their workplace. The manager was a single mother of six kids and had worked as a manager at McDonald’s for years. The employee claims on social media that her manager was a bully. Even though this whole story is tragic, everyone was debating believed she was a folk hero when th others believed she was a bloody murderer. Was this act of self-defense, or was it homicide?
It was the morning at an Eastpointe McDonald‘a around 8am. 39-year-old Jennifer "Jamma" Harris, a single mother of six and McDonalds manager for 15 years was having a heated conflict with her employee 26-year-old Afeni Badu Muhammad, an Eastpoint resident worked at McDonald’s for months. It is unclear what the argument was about it is a lead by one of the employees that had something to do with hours. Harris sent Muhammad home. Muhammad replied to Harris:
“I’ll be back!”
Muhammad returned a few hours later with a kitchen knife and proceeded to stab Harris multiple times. Police say a customer with a gun, who is a licensed CPL holder, saw the dispute and fired a shot to attempt to stop it. No one was struck by the bullet, but it did stop the violence. Muhammad fled the scene and the customer chased after her until she surrendered. Harris was rushed to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries. Muhammad was arrested and hold on a 25 million bond.
McDonalds owner released a statement on this tragic incident that happened.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident, and our hearts go out to the victim's family and loved ones. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in my restaurants, and we are taking this matter extremely serious, as the safety and well-being of our employees and customers is our top priority. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation, and the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.”
The owner agreed to pay for Harris’s funeral and a trust funds for her six children. Families and Friends were devastated and grieved outside the McDonalds were Harris was killed. One of Harris’s children told ABC 7 WXYZ:
“She was the best mom anybody could ever ask for. My mama, she woke up every day and went to work for us, for us. My mama died trying to take care of us.”
~Antonia Griffin, Jennifer's oldest daughter.
Jennifer's family describes her as hardworking and kind, and said she often shared how much she loved her kids with others.
Bullying Claims
According to Muhammad’s Instagram page which goes by “Risen Phoenix”, Muhammad claims that her manager “bullied” her and Says that the boss has said diabolical things to her children. Her Instagram posts was filled with disturbing post like a dead bird she found, her Chucky inspired looks, demonic crazy posts and her raunchy demonic songs. According to news source, this isn’t her first time stabbing someone. Muhammad has allegedly stab someone at work before. On social media, there was half says she was a folk hero because she was the even though I am not going to lie they’re bad bosses out there while most believed it was an act of murder. This whole case is debatable. As a former restaurant employee, I went through the same situation when an employee However I would never try to stab somebody or take out somebody because of what the employee did to me. Thank God! I quit after nearly two years. She had no excuse to kill her boss she could’ve just left that job if she was a bully and find a new one. Even if she has bullied her she knows she can report her even if it means that she wants to keep her name anonymous. I do feel sorry for the manager that lost her life living behind her six kids. No child deserves to lose a mother. I am disturbed by everything. I wouldn’t say it’s a self-defense it is an act of violence. As a former restaurant employer, I would never do that if my boss was a bully to me I was just a report him or her. Now I’m not so sure if the manager is a bully Even if she was a bully she could’ve collected evidence so she can send it to HR And let them handle her. So far I don’t see any employees from that McDonald’s saying “oh yeah that manager was a bully” Or any former employees saying the same thing.
I guess we’ll have to see what’s next.
Who knows.
What do you think was it self defense or an act of violence???? Comment below!!!!!
