RF: Woman Thieves Gas from Another Car!
In a country where gas prices have risen sharply, one female goes the wrong route.
A blue convertible and a black sedan sat idle in their respective parking spots. A woman with a hood over her head stood in between both of them pumping fuel from the convertible to her vehicle. She used a device that looked like a snake with a plunger handle attached to it in the middle. Her brazenness made it seem like she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. The video cut out before she even finished pumping.
In just a few seconds of footage, viewers see a microcosm of the desperation Americans' feel at the pump. Now, there's no excuse for the woman to steal gas from anyone. She should have found more ways to create enough dollars to afford the inflated gas prices.
That’s probably the most important issue regarding this country today: freeing up the economy. Would this woman be stealing gas if the government actually protected rights instead of fooling around with the economy? Would she be pilfering fuel if she had the either be a janitor or the capability to run a corporation without the SEC sliding up behind her and checking every zero and one?
In this current climate of fear and loathing for the government’s ineptitude and overbearing presence in American lives, there exists enough room for the whole apparatus to be turned around.
The first thing that should be altered is the elimination of the income tax at the federal, state, and local levels. How would we fund the most crucial, proper agencies of government, the police, military, and courts? Americans would donate to the government voluntarily without tariffs. If someone decided to free load on the system, their names would show up on social media sites as well as traditional media sources via private sources.
If a nation as morally profound as America could not keep up with the numbers because the citizenry decided to forgo sending in dollars, then such a country wouldn’t justly have a place to exist.
When a woman is driven to extract fuel from another person’s car without permission, then that is a sign the nation is being throttled by regulations and controls. Why couldn’t this woman open a nail salon? The paperwork in trying to establish a business would probably be in the tens of thousands. Why couldn’t she just do nails without signing any documents? An unlicensed store would be condemned by the fire department for not displaying a little diploma signifying a government inspector “observed” the premises.
What’s worse is that Americans put up with this. They subscribe to the unknown and unknowable, or to news anchors, or to whatever God of the moment that they choose. They have far too many problems to contend with rather than “fighting city hall.” They feel they’re too small to make a dent in the universe. They seek to have their burdens mollified by social networks, video games, trash TV on streaming services, and an almost endless supply of food.
While some prices on goods bought at the supermarket have risen, headline creators love to display the gas quagmire. It makes for better subscription sales and advertising revenue to run the story that bleeds. In this case, that blood is high octane fuel.
Gas prices are so high because of government intrusion. If the State did not institute a Federal Reserve among other government entities, then there would be no manipulation of the markets. Laissez-faire capitalism is the only solution to the entire problem.
Yet, Americans know something is off. They can sense their savings have dwindled, their money they have been socking away has lost value and they are wondering not just how to send their kids through college, but how to make a full meal for themselves.
If capitalism defeated the mixture of fettered ideals restricting this country from truly realizing its most noble potential, there would be a wellspring of innovation, ingenuity, and happiness. It wouldn't be a result of the increased money, but rather the pursuit, the productiveness that might bring the people of this country joy.
