Through this window, the guards of justice will carry in their pens the messages of the Public Prosecution; Which we embody in the competencies entrusted to us by law, and we explain our competencies and the accompanying procedures, and we review the mechanism of the complaint process as soon as it is received by the prosecution, passing through the investigation procedures, moving to the trial stage and ending with the implementation of the enforceable judicial ruling.
The Public Prosecution undertakes public action in the name of society, and seeks to achieve the task of proper application of the provisions of the law. The law has assigned it the powers of investigation, accusation, pleading before the competent judicial authorities and the implementation of penal judgments, in addition to supervising reform and rehabilitation centers through periodic visits, access to their records, and contact with any An inmate or detained in it, and his complaint investigated. The Public Prosecution also represents the state in human rights cases that are brought from or against it, with the aim of maintaining a solid and solid society; Because our primary duty, which governs all the tasks entrusted to us, is to monitor the application of the provisions of the law in an optimal manner in order to achieve respect and protection of human rights.
The Public Prosecution works to ensure that all citizens have access to justice by expanding and developing the services provided; This is done through thirteen partial prosecutions spread in the governorates that exercise the powers of investigation, accusation and pleading before the competent courts according to their spatial jurisdiction, and thirteen specialized prosecutions that exercise their qualitative jurisdiction in crimes based on the legal determinants related to the type of crime or the persons committing the crime or both, in which 165 members are involved. Public Prosecutions perform their duties in accordance with the law, and perform their duties according to principles and standards based on the rule of law and justice, ensuring equality, impartiality and transparency with fairness, consistency and speed, to protect human rights and to ensure respect for human dignity by ensuring the safety and confidentiality of the procedures taken, and they are supported by an administrative staff consisting of 255 employees.
The Public Prosecution receives and investigates all complaints and allegations received from citizens, in addition to what it receives from the judicial control authorities in terms of evidence, and it is my duty as a public prosecutor.
