Matter of Online Games Turning Him into a Cruel Psychopath
The brutality of a young man due to online game debt.
A recent horrific case has shaken social media. The case involved a child who was only about 12 years old and was mutilated by his friend inside his own home. The child's body was left lying there with fresh blood still visible and flowing from some of the body parts. Videos of this shocking incident have been circulating on various social media platforms. According to information I received from one of the international news posts, the incident occurred in 2007 in a remote district in Brazil.
It is known that the child who fell victim to the mutilation was named Gabriel Kun and the perpetrator of the story was named Daniel Patrick, who was about 17 years old. In the widely circulated video on several social media platforms, several body parts of the victim were seen scattered in front of the house. These body parts included the abdomen, legs, and body up to the head. Gabriel's face also looked very gruesome, and some of his internal organs were seen protruding from his abdomen
The authorities handling the case then conducted an investigation and identified one perpetrator who turned out to be a neighbor of the victim. The perpetrator was subsequently arrested in his own home, with protection from both of his parents. After a series of interrogations, the authorities finally obtained a complete statement from the perpetrator, who admitted to all of his cruel and violent actions against the victim. Initially, the perpetrator, named Daniel, entered Gabriel's house on a sunny morning. Daniel had previously observed his friend's house and knew that no one was home except for Gabriel.
Daniel then entered the unlocked door of Gabriel's house and immediately met Gabriel, who was playing an online game on his computer. After meeting, Daniel pulled Gabriel's hand, and a fight broke out between them. The fight was caused by Gabriel's debt to Daniel. Gabriel could not pay the debt, and Daniel, who was already angry about it, then attacked Gabriel. Gabriel claimed that he did not have the money at that moment and asked Daniel to collect it later. However, because Daniel's emotions had reached their peak, he then hit Gabriel's face repeatedly. Gabriel tried to defend himself, fighting back against Daniel, but due to their physical differences and significant age gap, Gabriel's strength was not enough to resist Daniel. Daniel then hit Gabriel again, and this time, the blow was so hard that Gabriel fell to the ground. In that instant, Daniel, who was already blinded by rage, saw Gabriel lying helpless on the ground and took a piece of wire from a corner of the house. It is unclear what was going through Daniel's mind, but it seemed like he was acting out a violent online game, where he was the hero and Gabriel was the villain who needed to be killed. Daniel then used the wire to strangle Gabriel.
Gabriel, who was already helpless, was half-conscious and unable to resist. The wire then gripped his neck tightly until Gabriel's breath was severely lacking in oxygen. All he could do was scream as a last effort to survive. Gabriel also shed tears because the wire was really making it difficult for him to breathe.
Daniel, who saw Gabriel whimpering in pain, did not stop the wire from tightening around his neck. Instead, he strengthened his grip to quickly finish off Gabriel. In an instant, Gabriel was no longer able to hold on and finally succumbed to his injuries inflicted by his friend, who was considered a son by Gabriel's parents. Upon seeing the lifeless body of his friend, the psychopathic side of Daniel suddenly emerged.
Due to his frequent playing of violent online games, Daniel knew exactly how to kill someone in a sadistic manner. He took a steel saw from Gabriel's house's storage room and, at that moment, the adrenaline in Daniel's mind had overwhelmed any trace of human conscience. He then proceeded to use the saw to cut off Gabriel's lower body, including his legs. Blood immediately flowed and drenched Gabriel's body, and the saw slowly cut through his flesh. Eventually, Gabriel's body was severed into two parts, and Daniel also cut off several of his toes. The incident unfolded as if it was just another routine action for him.
Daniel seemed to be enjoying the sadistic act he was committing, as if he were completing a mission in the online game that he often played.
It is not entirely accurate to say that playing violent online games will automatically turn someone into a psychopath. However, it is true that excessive exposure to violent content can desensitize individuals to violence and make them more likely to engage in aggressive behavior. In some cases, individuals who are already predisposed to violent behavior may become more prone to acting on those impulses after being exposed to violent media. Additionally, playing violent games can lead to the development of a skewed view of the world and a lack of empathy towards others. It is important for individuals to be mindful of the content they consume and to seek help if they notice any negative changes in their behavior or thought patterns.
It seems that Daniel's left brain has been poisoned by the violence in the online games he frequently played, causing him to have a strong desire to commit violent acts in real life. His actions may have been driven by a curiosity and fascination with the act of murder that was instilled in him through these games.
It is known that Daniel was given a computer by his parents since he was 5 years old, and every day he would lock himself in his room to play games. He is also known for not having many friends because he spends most of his time indoors. In recent years, he discovered an online game with a very violent and sadistic theme, which is banned in some European countries. According to the police statement during Daniel's trial, his motive was not related to debt issues but rather an alleged debt incurred from purchasing in-game items.
Playing violent online games alone is not enough to turn someone into a psychopathic killer. However, studies have shown that there is a correlation between exposure to violent media and aggressive behavior.
It is important to note that many factors contribute to the development of a psychopathic personality, including genetics, environment, and upbringing. While violent games may contribute to aggressive behavior in some individuals, it is not the sole cause.
Furthermore, it is important for individuals to be aware of their own mental health and seek help if they are experiencing violent thoughts or tendencies. It is also crucial for parents and guardians to monitor their children's exposure to violent media and provide guidance and support in promoting healthy behavior and attitudes.
