Manhattan Madman

New York's strangest killer

By Joseph Roy WrightPublished 11 months ago 3 min read
Someone evil hides here

The tale of the Manhattan Madman is not for the faint of heart, it is a dark and despicable tale of murder and pure evil. The city of New York is unfortunately rife with crime and shady activity. From drug deals, sex trafficking, theft and gang warfare. By far the most disturbing of these crimes are those done by psychopathic serial killers with sadistic desires. One of the most infamous of these lunatics was a mysterious fellow nicknamed the Manhattan Madman. This killer was known for his brutal, barbaric kills that terrified the residents of the city.

There are a number of terrifying crime scenes he created that have become notorious in time, those being:

The dinner time murder. Here a once happy family were supposed to be eating roast turkey on Thanksgiving, only instead the food was poisoned and they all puked up their guts, sitting facing each other on the dining room table. The remaining scene was like something straight out of a horror movie, the food was green and mouldy, maggots and flies swarmed the remains of the left overs. The family all had looks of horror and agony on their dead faces. Manhattan Madman left his calling card beside the half eaten turkey, that being a pair of red dice.

The garden of death. Within an isolated plot of land, a group of kids found a particularly strange garden of unusual flowers. At first this place seemed beautiful and scenic, then as they ventured further into the garden, they soon discovered that human bones poked out from under the soil, the plants were growing straight out of the corpses! It was a truly horrific sight, the kids still needed therapy to get over the terror of it. Manhattan Madman left his calling card on a nearby tree branch this time, two red dice tied to a string, dangling on the wood alongside the leaves.

Dogs Dinner. This is a very disgusting one, but just like the garden of death, at first glance the innocent woman who came across this scene thought it was adorable. How could a murder scene be possibly adorable you might ask, well that is because what she first saw was a whole pack of cute little puppies, feasting on something she couldn't quite see. This was in central park on a beautiful sunny Saturday, the sight of cute animals instantly made her smile, that was until she saw what exactly they were eating. Pieces of human beings! Ears, human bones, fingers and toes and even eye balls. The woman screamed and called the police, they came to investigate, the corpses had been chopped up and fed to the dogs like canned meat, it was beyond sickening. Of course, Manhattan Madman left his calling card again, the red dice was found around the collar of one of the cannibalistic dogs.

The bloody canvas. This one consisted of red streaks and huge chunks of gore, splattered against a white canvas. It was found in a public art gallery and was admired by hundreds, however it began to stink like rot, not just regular rot but rotting meat, soured and naueasating like a butcher's fridge left turned off and overheated. Police found this suspicious and confiscated the art piece, only then was it revealed by forensics that it was made using the blood of humans. Manhattan Madman didn't leave behind any calling cards as to who he was when selling his painting to the art gallery, but he later revealed that it was he himself who created such evil.

To the surprise of everyone, Manhattan Madman turned himself in to the police one evening, he was truly insane. His real name was revealed to be Steven McIntyre and he wanted fame! That's right, he saw himself as an "artist" a murderous visionary. A monster (is what he really was). The police did not see things his way, he was a wanted criminal, a deadly maniac, a Manhattan Madman. He was sentenced to death, his last words were; "none of you understand true art!" Then he was electrocuted.
