Humza Useless: Not Racist Its Fact.

Many in SNP Think New First Minister is Useless.

Scottish First Minister: Humza Yousaf.

Dan Wooton of GB News was speaking about the apparent downfall of the SNP. Recently, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon suddenly resigned. The reason for this resignation was not clear. Although many thought it was because Ms. Sturgeon has been unable to get her dearest wish politically that of Scottish independence. Her bid was narrowly defeated in 2014. Ever since the UK left the EU she has been using this as a weapon to campaign for another vote to free Scotland (as she sees it) from the rest of the UK. However, Westminster blocked any Scottish move for another referendum on independence.

However, it appears something fishy has been going on within the SNP on Ms. Sturgeon's watch. Her husband who was Chief Executive of the SNP also resigned. He has been arrested but was later released without charge. However, the couple's house and Scottish National Party HQ are being searched by the police.

Meanwhile recently elected (within the party not in the country) Humza Yousaf admitted the SNP is facing a problem. How this will all pan out cannot be said. However, it seems Scots may be turning against the SNP after years of Scotland being a virtual one-party state. The SNP has been the government of Scotland for years and it seems so has Nicola Sturgeon. The SNP has fallen back in polls to 36% while Labour has gone up 2 points to 31%. Sir Keir Starmer will be happy about this as the UK in general seems to be turning to Labour over the Conservatives.

Dan Wooton of GB News commented that calling Humza Yousaf 'Humza Useless' is not racist "it's fact". Karen Adams of the SNP said it is racist to call Mr. Yousaf useless. Yet as Mr. Wooton correctly pointed out other SNP MSPs think that frankly, Mr. Yousaf is useless. Mr. Yousaf narrowly became SNP Leader and First Minister by a whisker. He had 53% of the vote while his Christian counterpart Kate Forbes had 48%. So not everyone in the SNP likes Humza Yousaf or his track record in office. For example, Mr. Yousaf's time as Health Minister under Nicola Sturgeon was wishy-washy. Wishy-Washy is a nickname Rishi Sunak has also gained as Prime Minster of the UK as a whole. Gained because of his rather flimsy appearance and way of doing things. Although he did get the Windsor Framework up and running and voted through parliament about Northern Ireland. Though not everyone agrees with it including former Conservative Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.

Yousaf is facing a possible crisis and meltdown in the SNP. Given his rather rubbish time as a minister (earning him the nickname Humza Useless), it will be interesting to see how he deals with it. If Mr. Yousaf's time in office doesn't produce results on the many things Scots worry about it's possible the SNP (at next year's general election across the UK) could be out of office.

This will be like an earthquake for the SNP as a long time in power makes that party governing arrogant. They get the thought that because of winning general election after general election they have the right to rule. So it becomes like a dictatorship and a perpetual one-party state via the ballot box. The Conservatives under Margaret Thatcher and even now under Rishi Sunak the Tories think they are the natural party of government. However, situations change, people change, politics change and the voters eventually want something different. A new party with new solutions to take over from a tired old government that has been in power for years. This old worn-out government like the SNP and Conservatives need changing. As they can no longer offer the people what they want or they have let down their people so many times. Not saying this will be the scenario in the general election in 2024 but certainly, it could be.
