Couple Accused of Torture

Justin Wilson, 31, and his girlfriend, Nicole Elmore, 35, are accused of kidnapping the man’s estranged wife, holding her captive in a trailer for nearly a week, and torturing the woman. The couple was charged in Perth Town Court with kidnapping, whipping, sodomizing, and disfiguring the 37-year-old victim.

The Incident

Wilson and Elmore allegedly kidnapped the woman on New Year’s Eve. At the time, Wilson was free on bail after Fulton County Sheriff’s Office charged him with contempt of court and family offense after he violated an order of protection the victim held against him.

Court documents state that on December 31, 2020, Wilson forced the woman at gunpoint from her home. He then placed her face down in the backseat of an SUV and drove to Elmore’s trailer. For the next six days, the couple tortured the victim,

Forcing her to sleep in a filthy room with a dog, sodomized her with a baseball bat, choked her until she lost consciousness, sexually assaulted her, and finally, amputated her right pinky finger, then using fire to cauterize the wound.

She recalled more events to investigators later in the day. Wilson and Elmore allegedly took her to a motel in Amsterdam where they attempted to drown her in a hot tub and forced her head inside a urine-filled toilet. Wilson also sexually assaulted her with a ring he pulled off her finger. Nicole actively participated in all of the torture against the victim.

“Throughout the entire time I was with Justin, he was threatening to kill me and told me if I didn’t kill myself, he would kill me,” she told State Police investigators. “He beat me, burned me, cut off my finger, sodomized me and I thought I was going to die.”

Victim Escapes

The victim managed to escape from the torture when Wilson transported her to Gloversville, about 45-minutes away. When she escaped from the SUV, she ran to a grocery store where she says staff members refused to assist her. The owner of Bowman’s Market denied they reduced to help the woman.

The woman called a cab where she was driven to her grandfather’s home. He drove her to the hospital and called the police. None of the woman’s injuries was life-threatening.

Couple Charged in the Incident

Police arrested Wilson the same night after a two-hour standoff. No one was injured during the standoff. He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault with intent to disfigure, dismember or disable, and first-degree aggravated sexual abuse.

Elmore was arrested the following day. Police found her inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot at a Gloversville business. She was charged with the same crimes as Wilson and is being held at the Fulton County Jail.

Wilson and Elmore have court dates set for Feb. 7. Due to the serious nature of the charges, both Wilson and Elmore could face life in prison.

Let’s hope both Wilson and Elmore receive lengthy prison sentences. Although the history between the couple is unclear, the victim had an order of protection against the man, which says everything we need to know. I hope she makes a full recovery.
