It’s that moment when you see the life leaving a person’s body; the color drain from the flesh and their lips turn cold. That feeling of sorrow flowing through your veins creating that wetness from your eyes. It was a blood bath in the living room at the house on Stucco Street. There were no survivors and the mission was successful.
Detectives can’t seem to find any clues as to who the killer or killers are. The motive is unclear as this was a massacre. There weren’t any witnesses according to the police report but best believe there’s always a witness. What the detectives didn’t know was that the killer was among them. Camouflaged in all black the killer was hiding in the shadows.
The smell of blood filled the air. The sound of chatter was all around. I can’t believe there are only 2 detectives at the crime scene. With all the bodies here? I hoped there would have been more to show up but I didn’t luck out this time. Hopefully, the next mission will make more of a statement. I waited for the perfect moment and made my exit from the scene.
My gloves were covered in blood. I don’t think I should dump them near the area but I’m a bit exhausted so traveling too far isn’t ideal right now. I don’t want to get caught so I definitely need to be careful. I love the taste of blood. This is becoming addicting.... I need to find a car right away but the only problem with that is there aren’t any cars in this area. I would need to call a Poppy Cab which is too risky. Sigh. There has to be a way out. I just need to think.
The detectives were able to identify the bodies in the house as the Pavilion family. They were one of the wealthiest families in the city. They appeared to have it all together. Every year, they would host a charity event for the homeless and sick. No one ever had anything negative to say about this family so who would want them murdered in the dead of night?
Detectives gathered up all the evidence they could find, which wasn’t much of anything, and they ordered the four bodies to be taken in for an autopsy. The crime scene was gruesome yet clean. There was blood everywhere but none on the bodies themselves. How could this be? Detectives had yet to figure out the cause of death. It would take 72 hours before they received that critical information.
The next day seemed like any ordinary day. People were out and about living their lives as if nothing happened. I wonder if the news got the story yet. What were the cops waiting for? I didn’t do all that work for nothing after all! I think for my next kill, I’m going to take photos and leave them lying around. This one didn’t have much of a shock factor and that’s what was lacking.
My boss sent a text letting me know that my payment will be coming today hand delivered to me from his assistant, Chase. It’s amazing how I know all of the names of his associates but I have no idea who I’m actually working for. The pay is excellent so I guess I shouldn’t really care. I just need to do this for a few months longer and I will have enough to pay off my debt to him. If only I could take back that night when this all began...
Back at the coroner’s office, things we’re getting more and more puzzling. The autopsy’s of the Pavilion family came back with something unexpected. The cause of death seemed to be blunt force trauma to the head but there weren’t any signs of this conclusion. There didn’t seem to be an explanation for this. The other strange part about this was the fact that all four bodies had been drained of blood.
The coroner dialed the detectives immediately after getting the autopsy results and explained to them what the cause of death was but also told them about the blood drainage. The detectives were shocked. How can the cause of death be from blunt force when there weren’t any marks on the bodies? How was the blood drained and where is the killer now? So many questions being unanswered...
