A realisation of the Crime World

Running with the wrong people? Time for a wake up call.

By Daina Published 6 years ago 3 min read

I know a lot of people in the crime world and how it works. I'm writing this with sheer anger built up from personal experiences and want to make others aware of just how bad crime rates are in not only Australia but the rest of the world. The stories iv heard and events iv seen first hand have left a scar on me for the rest of my life. The families and friends of someone who commits crimes are left suffering as much as the criminal themselves. This takes a negative toll on the outsiders watching their loved one slip away and getting washed away with that underground life. Many people begin their life of crime when they are teens. This could be from wanting a high position in social status or to impress others who follow that life. Many of us want to be perceived as powerful but we take the wrong approach to gain that name. Fear creates power. From this, criminals will use this in order to feel/look that way. Not all people commit crimes to achieve this status. Many criminals commit acts they do for money or possessions they don't already have.

The emotional effect on them is that they will develop this sense of 'needing' to be apart of this world because once your in, its hard to get out of. They will get the taste for more after they come into money and gained some status of power. It's an addiction. Crime can be an extremely dangerous game to be in. Not only for you, your family and friends are at risk if you are involved with dangerous people. Iv heard a lot of bad people use ones family in order to get what they want. They may threaten their possessions or even lives to get to you if you piss them off. Why would you want this for them and yourself? It may seem fun to you in the moment and the perks will be better than your 9-5 but the harsh truth is that it wont last forever like a normal life would. Why do you want to be looking over your shoulder 24 hours a day. If something happens to you who's going to be there for your children? that's if you have the chance to have any. Criminal world games are a gamble. Each time something happens and another fight sparks up, you run the risk and gamble the safety of your life.

I know someone personally who just had a child with one of my dearest friends and his life was taken during a stabbing that took place over drugs. She and the newborn child will continue to live without him in pain because of the choices he made. His life wouldn't of been taken if he had different people around him, who supported him. They weren't his friends, they were people lost within their own lives on crime which took a toll on his dear life. If you lie with dogs, you get fleas. It pains me to watch families get torn apart from their loved ones who are behind bars without the fresh air in their lungs, without a warm cuddle from their sons/daughters. Our mothers didn't raise us to make poor choices. They want the most for filled lives for us.

I understand that many people turn to this life from not having parents who are supportive or who don't care and love like other ones. You can flip the negative emotion in your life and make it positive by learning from it. If you don't have these supportive people in your life, BE that person in others lives, help others to stay away from the drama, be there for your children and teach them the right ways. Teach them the difference between good and bad in the way that your parents didn't teach you. There is always a choice in life which spirals into the butterfly affect. Every choice you make will either have consequences or positiveness and it is what you make of it.

Crime gets you nowhere in the long run and isn't worth the stress, heart ache or losses in your lives. Please think of your families, friends and those who love you before making decisions that can change or end your life forever.
