A Night At The Movies

It was September 3rd 7:59 Opening Night and the people was lined up down the block. I was so excited that we was opening with Anatomy of a Murder, it was James Stewart's newest movie. The movie also starred the beautiful Lee Remick, what a doll !

Anyways, The doors open and everything was clean and pristine, it was all brand new. The company spared no expense, even the carpet felt as if you was walking on air. You could tell the customers was impressed and did they spend their money Popcorn & Peanuts, Candy & Drinks and milk chocolate bars.

The customers really enjoyed the show too and applauded at the end of it. Then it was my turn to greet the audience and thank them for coming. Good Evening my name is Mr. Kelley, I'm the manager of this theater and I wanted to thank you for coming out this evening and to invite you back real soon and bring a friend !

So now the doors are locked and it was time for my crew to do their cleaning assignments. It was about an hour in to it, when I was presented a little black book, my crew said that it was found on the floor behind the last roll of seats. I flipped through it and saw that it was filled with names and numbers and figures. I put it in my inner jacket pocket and actually forgot that it was there.

So I locked up and got in my car and was headed home. That's when I noticed that I was being followed. Who is this guy and what does he want ?Suddenly, I remembered that little black book, that movie was still fresh in my mind it was so full of violence and murder. I don't mind telling you that I was more than just a little worried, I was scared ! The guy in this big black sedan was getting closer and at times it felt like he was right on my bumper.

I drove straight to the Police Station didn't even park correctly, ran up the steps and right through the doors. As I turned to look I could see the big black sedan pull away. The policeman at the front desk ask if he could help me that's when I gave him that little black book. He took one look at it and asked me to follow him to his Sergeants office.

Turns out that little black book belong to some kingpin in the mob and it was crucial evidence in a very important case. It also turned out there was a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of said kingpin. So I took the money and that is how I got here in Hollywood. On this set , producing this movie....action !!
