52 Lock Up: The Loss of Shad Rock Thyrion

Welcome back to 52 Lock Up, I am your Appletini Cadma of Bitten Apple TV. 52 lock up is a series I started to talk about one of my biggest passions of true crime. Today’s episode begins with a fresh ongoing case Taylor Denise Coronado was born on November 23rd 1997. This case is a little shaky when it comes to info and I think it’s because of the age of the crimes. Taylor’s history is choppy rough. Spoiler alert, Taylor is the one who gets arrested later; actually repeatedly but let’s continue. Taylor’s friend would later describe Taylor as very kind but not having many sober friends. She would state that Taylor was emotional when she found out her friend had a tumor in her leg. Her friend was aware that she liked to get high but she was never high when she was with her. They were close enough to have slept over and even play with her kids for going on 9 years.

Now let me explain where the information gets choppy and perhaps I’m hopping onto this one too soon. Taylor used to live in Texas but I was having trouble being able to tell a few things; however there’s a Denise Marie Coronado aka Bones Marie that is known for a crime as a teenager. I know the girl was held on bail but it doesn’t say if the 18/19 year old was convicted and jailed. What I can tell you about the girl is that she was on bail in 2017 for abducting a 14 year old girl and forcing her to have sex with 26 men. When I look up Denise Coronado I see a birthday of 11/24 but no year; however when I look at their pictures they look a like. Is it possible it is a different person? Yes and I could have my facts wrong which I will gladly rectify if that comes to be so. Let’s cover what I believe to be Taylor Schabusiness’ rap sheet. If they are not the same person, then think of this as the twilight zone and a 2 for 1 special. Juvenile cases can be tricky to obtain information on due to the protection of juveniles and in some cases it can extend up to the age of 21; remember Amber Wright was depending on that to get away with her crime.

In Texas, Denise Marie Coronado was picked up at 18/19 years old after an escaped 14 year old called her family and was rescued. It turns out the 14 year old was coerced by Denise and left in a hotel room to be used as a sex worker to 26 men. The 14 year old girl did not want to do this but Denise Marie Coronado aka Bones Marie her pimpette nickname, had posted her photos all over backpage which apparently is a site for these things. I do not know what was in Bones Marie’s past as a teenager but she did have a record enough that the judge raised her bail from $30K to $100K in 2017. There’s no information if she was released, convicted; just zip zilch nada nothing. However, with this all going on in question we have:

Taylor Denise Coronado at 5’2” at 120lbs changing her name in 2018 and changes her name to Taylor Denise Schabusiness; when you check the public records it is stated that Taylor used to live in SanAntonio, Houston and Temple and Cotulla Texas then Wisconsin. Is it the same person, they look awfully a lot like each other but there were no confirmations online. The continued rap sheet grows when in Wisconsin, according to her online records Taylor was arrested in June 2020 and charged with battery and threatening and resisting an officer. She was found guilty after pleading no contest. For those who may not know, pleading no contest is accepting the conviction without pleading guilty to the charges. It’s like not admitting you’re guilty while the same cookie crumb from the cookie jar in question are on your face; I guess is the best was to describe it.

Taylor was sentenced to 3 years of probation and 60 days in jail. However in August 2020 she had other plans and was charged with bail jumping (which is when a defendant fails to show up in court); and she was resisting an officer again. The bail jumping charge ended up being dismissed as part of the June case for battery. In August 2020 she was also charged with a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer and a felony charge of fleeing from an officer in a vehicle; and was sentenced to 2 years probation. So what I do have here is that is already in use of drug paraphernalia but I am assuming it goes back longer than 2 years. Taylor’s facebook said she is married and has a son who was born in 2021 but her husband is in jail in Wisconsin on unrelated charges. There is no name provided and he has nothing to do with the crime. I did look up marriage records but I didn’t find anything; perhaps it’s me so if you know anything feel free to drop info in the comments. Thankfully if she did have a kid she did not have custody of the child.

Either way here we are with court released information on March 2nd 2022, this year with charges of first degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and third degree sexual assault.

Shad Rock Thyrion was born on September 7th 1997. He was 5’6” at 155 lbs. Shad and Taylor met at some point in their lives and became drug user buddies from what I am understanding. They were also lovers. On February 22nd 2022, Taylor and a friend picked up Shad in her van & they then went to her Eastman Avenue apartment where they smoked marijuana and meth. Her friend then left, and Taylor shot herself and Shad with Trazodone; which is a medication used to treat anxiety and depression. They decided to drive to Shad’s mother’s house. They headed to the basement. Shad and Taylor were having sex in his mother’s basement and his mother before leaving the house with her partner remembered hearing Taylor’s voice. His mother left at 9:30 p.m. and had not heard much from her son afterwards.

They continued to mix it with methamphetamine. Now one of the things to understand about methamphetamine is that is a stimulant. Meth will rapidly increases dopamine, which is the happy hormone for the brain that stimulates pleasure and motivation. Dopamine also affects our cognitive skills like problem solving and memory. So we have a person getting high on the Dopamine increase that creates a temporary feeling of euphoria BUT according to the National Institute on drug abuse that irregularly large amounts of dopamine that meth creates in the brain may alter the brain’s function and leads to repetitive use. When the dopamine levels drop, it’s not “stored” somewhere and it causes the brain to become overstimulated. Continued meth abuse can severely damage dopamine and serotonin neurons, affecting how a person feels, acts and thinks. Severe damage to these neurons could cause a user to experience symptoms of depression, paranoia and hallucinations.

Now because it was not news for Taylor and Shad to use strangulation during sex in the past; they chose to do it again this evening. There were two chains. One chain that was like a silver chain link and a dog choke collar; one for each of the lovers. When she began strangling she began to enjoy strangling him. Taylor could feel Shad’s heart beating as she was choking him so she kept pulling and choked him harder and harder. She realized he was dying when blood started coming out of his mouth and his face began to turn purple but still continued to choke him. This would take about 3 to 5 minutes. It takes a victim who is being choked about 7 to 14 seconds to pass out and the time after that is what it takes for them to actually die.

After he died she continued playing with his body after he died and performed sexual acts on him after he died; back again at necrophilia. She would play with his body for 2 to 3 hours and spent all day Tuesday in the basement with the body then began to dismember the body Tuesday night going into Wednesday morning. She took the knives from the kitchen particularly a bread knife and as she was cutting up the body she became more paranoid and what she would call “lazy”. She felt the dope was making her paranoid. Apparently the plan was to bring all of the victim’s body parts with her when she left the house and got lazy and only put the leg and foot in her van; apparently she had forgotten the head. She left.

At 2:30 to 3 a.m. on February 23rd Shad’s mother kept hearing a storm door being slammed. She then heard a vehicle driving and assumed it was Taylor’s van that was parked out front. She saw a light on in the basement and went to see if her son was still there since she thought Taylor had left and didn’t know if he had left with her. She didn’t see anyone initially and assumed her son had left with Taylor like they had done before until she noticed a bucket at the bottom of the stairs with a blanket on top of it. When she removed the blanket she discovered her son’s head. Green Bay Police were called to her home on Stony Brook Lane about 3:25 a.m. The Green Bay Police looked at the severed head, the bloody mattress. Also located in the same bucket was his penis, along with body fluid and two knives. Other body parts were found in the basement in other bags, including plastic shopping bags, along with three knives, including the bread knife from the kitchen. His upper torso was found in a storage tote and it had a numerous amount of rigid cuts. They found evidence of drug usage with the glass pipe and gem bag containing light colored powered material. There was blood in the standup shower/bathroom in the basement as well.

Police are out searching for Taylor and when they are investigating her van she comes out of her apartment with a bloodied sweatshirt, her hands had blood smeared on them. The officers asked “do you know why we are here?” And she casually responds “because of my warrant for my arrest”. She was found with body parts in a crockpot box inside of her minivan’s rear passenger seat. When she was asked “what happened?” She told officers “That’s a good question.” She was taken in to be interviewed by detectives who noticed her having cuts on her thumb and scratches on her arms and hands as well. Initially she tried to say she blacked out but when the detective’s told Taylor they found the victim’s head at the mother’s house she said “that’s pretty fucked up” but later during the conversation makes comments like “damn the head”, “I can’t believe I left the head though”. When she was asked about where to find the rest of the victim’s body she stated “Police were going to have fun trying to find all of the organs as she dismembered the body.”

I do not know if this is trying to remove herself from the crime which is common with criminals. If she’s still high. If it’s the deterioration of her brain from drug use; but my god what the fuck? She is currently being charged with one count each of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and third-degree sexual assault. Due to her history she’s considered to be a high flight risk and is being held on $2 million bail at the Brown County Jail.

Shad Thyrion’s uncle, said Thyrion was taken from them by “what I can only assume is a monster.” His uncle wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, “You had such a good heart and soul Shad. I love you so much I can’t even begin to describe what we are feeling.” My heart goes out to the family and I hope they can find peace some day. Not only is the crime horrific but for the mother to find the head of her son is cruel and heartbreaking. Shad died at the age of 25 years old.

If anyone has an correcting information on it please let me know. This is such a heartbreaking, mind boggling sad case. Although this is still an open case, I’m pretty confident she will be convicted and jailed.
