18 Years of Perplexing Silence- Who Killed Alexandra Anaya? Part 2
The Sad Story of Alexandra Anaya

To start with the autopsy. The pathologist determined that Alexandra still had undigested French fries in her stomach by the time she was brutally murdered. It is important to note that before her mother, Susan, left her with her twin sisters that morning, they ate French fries together. This autopsy finding shows that she died that same day.
However, despite the thorough work of the pathologists, they could not determine the exact cause of death.
Who Killed Alexandra Anaya?
Just a few months before her tragic disappearance, Alexandra had opened up to her mother to make a shocking revelation: Rudolfo Heredia, the father of her two twin half-sisters, and her mother's boyfriend had been sexually assaulting her since she was seven.

This broke Sandra's heart leading to her breaking up with Rudolfo. She wanted her gone from their lives, but he was so persistent, he became a nuisance.
He started stalking them:
- He procured a spare key to the apartment and would go in when the family was not around.
- He broke into their house multiple times and threatened them.
- He called them repeatedly and harassed them.
- He followed them around and showed up at their places of work and school.
- He sent them letters and gifts with disturbing messages.
- He vandalized their property and car.
The day before the disappearance of Alexandra, Rudolfo called the family multiple times.
Following the discovery of Alexandra's body, Rudolfo was arrested and charged with stalking and burglary. He was tried in a federal court and was found not guilty of both charges. Rudolfo was never named a person of interest in the case, despite the stalking charges against him and the fact that the body was found blocks away from his residence in Riverdale, Illinois. The investigators determined there was not enough evidence to tie him to the crime.
Alexandra's severed head, arms, and legs have never been found to date.
The FBI
After more than 18 years of unsuccessfully seeking information that would help solve this case, the FBI doubled the reward for any information in May 2023. The FBI doubled the reward to $20000.
"I am sure some people were scared, but time has passed. Maybe this will encourage them to come forward even more now" explained Alexandra's mother, Sandra Anaya. "She always lit up the room, she was the type who didn't just give you a wave, she gave you a hug and a kiss" Sandra continued.
" It is a devastating situation for any parents to face, and to not have a resolution for 18 years, it's unacceptable" an FBI agent stated.
The FBI urges the public to report any tips, even anonymously via this contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit tips.fbi.gov.
