10 Scandals To Keep Your Eye On In 2023

Here are 10 controversies to watch in the approaching year, from silent journalists to deep-state election manipulation.

By Phoenix Daily ConspiraciesPublished 3 years ago 11 min read

The start of a new year brings with it a chance for more corruption. However, 2023 also presents a chance to put several long-running scandals to rest. These 10 should be followed throughout the future year.

1. The government's manipulation of big media and technology

As a result of substantial coordination between the government and Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other major participants in the information economy, the continued disclosure of the "Twitter Files" brought a new controversy to an end in 2022. While conservatives have known about and complained about Big Tech's censorship and shadowbanning for years, Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter and the release of company emails to independent journalists proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Twitter both suppressed and blacklisted conservatives.

The most horrifying instances involved the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop tale and the silence of scientific criticism of the government's oppressive Covid regime, both at the behest of federal officials.

In 2023, caution is advised as long as Musk allows access to internal conversations.

2. Interference with the 2020 election by intelligence agencies

The influence in the 2020 election by intelligence agencies is a connected scandal that will be followed in 2023. Before Musk became CEO of Twitter, Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, disclosed the FBI's part in the decision to delete the Hunter Biden article.

As I previously said, during an August 2020 interview with Joe Rogan, Mark Zuckerberg disclosed that the FBI had advised the Facebook team to "be on high alert" prior to the Hunter Biden laptop news breaking. The FBI reportedly informed Facebook that "[W]e thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election" and that "we have it on notice that basically there's about to be some kind of dump similar to that so just be vigilant." According to Zuckerberg, the FBI also advised Facebook to "be vigilant." When the Hunter Biden story was first reported by the New York Post, Facebook limited the scandal's prominence based on the FBI's warning that the information could be false.

Twitter's former head of trust and safety, Yoel Roth, signed a declaration attesting that during their "regular meetings with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and industry peers regarding election security," "federal law enforcement agencies communicated that they expected 'hack-and-leak opera,'" despite Zuckerberg's hesitation on whether the Hunter Biden story was the one that sparked the warning. In those talks, Roth claimed to have discovered "that there were rumours that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden," and Twitter reportedly suppressed the news as a result.

As the intelligence community had handed the Hunter Biden laptop to both Facebook and Twitter, the digital titans were forced to conceal the politically devastating news only weeks before the 2020 election. Of course, the Hunter Biden laptop was real and not Russian disinformation. A major controversy involving the FBI's meddling in the 2020 presidential election has only recently emerged in the media in late 2022.

Even more incriminating information is likely to come to light this year given that the "Twitter Files" revealed FBI Special Agent Elvis Chan provided a "Heads Up" to Roth on the late evening of October 13, 2020 — hours before the Post story broke. This scandal will continue in 2023. The Twitter executive received a notification from Chan through email about a "Teleporter link" that would let Roth retrieve 10 papers. "It's not spam!" Chan urged Roth to confirm that he had received the link. At 6:24 p.m., California time, Roth acknowledged receiving the message and downloading the contents two minutes later.

Chan informed Roth and a high-ranking Twitter attorney in a similar email sent to high-level Twitter executives two days after the initial publication of the Post story, saying, "I just got something hot off the presses today," and instructing them to check their Teleporter messages for "two documents to download."

Teleporter is a one-way communication technology that, as the "Twitter Files" explained, enables the FBI to deliver covert communications to the tech giant. The contents of the Teleporter communications and the papers the FBI attached for Twitter's examination are currently unknown as those messages are said to vanish after 24 hours. However, the timing indicates that additional proof that the FBI lied to Big Tech to rig the 2020 election may exist, and 2023 may be the year it comes to light.

3. The laundromat at Biden

Federal prosecutors have been looking into Hunter Biden at least since 2020. Many anticipated charges to be brought last year when The New York Times, one of the go-to media outlets for Democrats to prime with inside information to temper the effects of soon-to-be released negative news, reported based on unnamed sources that David C. Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware overseeing the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, had a grand jury conducting "a wide-ranging examination" of Hunter "Biden's international business dealings, financial transactions, and personal finances," among other things.

After that, the nation goes back into election mode, and it seems doubtful that the DOJ would dismiss an indictment of the president's son during an election year, so if Weiss plans to indict, 2023 will be the year to act. The Biden family money-making machine will undoubtedly be investigated by the House of Representatives, which is now under Republican control. There are many things to look into, including the financial dealings of Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sara Biden, and all the corporate entities linked to them, as well as how Joe Biden benefited from those financial dealings.

The financial records of various entities run by President Joe Biden's family members show they received wire transfers "from communist-connected Chinese businesses" totaling $5,000,000, with the proceeds reaching Hunter and James Biden through a variety of business organisations they controlled. In addition to their dealings in Ukraine, Hunter and James Biden (the president's brother) also negotiated deals with the communist Chinese regime.

Profiting off of communist China is only one facet of the pair's business operations. The largest cobalt source in the world is in the Congo, and according to The New York Times, Hunter Biden's joint global equity company, the Bohai Harvest Equity Investment Fund, assisted in setting up the sale to a Chinese mining company. Less than two weeks after his trip to China on Air Force Two with his father, the vice president, Hunter reportedly established his new joint venture with Chinese business partners.

According to a Senate investigation, Hunter Biden also received a total of $3.5 million from the spouse of a former Moscow mayor, a Kazakhstani investor, and a number of other people. Closer to home, James Biden's financial transactions with the company Americore "evidence a complex pay-to-play scandal underpinning his investing in the health care sector." Before taking "a six-figure personal loan out of Americore's coffers," James Biden allegedly promised, "a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections." However, neither the Middle East investment nor James Biden's repayment of the loan materialised.

By way of Republican House oversight committees and federal prosecutors, 2023 threatens to air the Biden family's financial bad laundry.

4. Corrupt FBI

Evidence of FBI wrongdoing has accumulated since SpyGate broke in 2018 when Devin Nunes, the then-chair of the House Intelligence Committee, released a report outlining the FBI's abuse of the FISA court system. While the FBI has so far escaped any significant repercussions for SpyGate and the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop incident, last year saw a large number of agents come forward as whistleblowers.

Some of these whistleblowers are in "senior positions," according to those who allegedly told Sen. Chuck Grassley's office that FBI agents "falsely portray[ed] as disinformation evidence acquired from multiple sources that provided the FBI derogatory information related to Hunter Biden's financial and foreign business activities, even though some of that information had already been or could be verified."

Additionally, more informants got in touch with Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, claiming that FBI leadership "allegedly pressured agents to label cases as 'domestic violent extremism' to boost case numbers." Additionally, some leakers "have revealed how the FBI leadership is conducting a 'purge' of FBI personnel holding conservative views" and is enabling political bias to influence FBI investigations. In 2023, the possibility of other whistleblowers, along with the "Twitter Files" and the House oversight committees now controlled by Republicans, might further expose the FBI's wrongdoing.

5. The Eugene Yu vs. True the Vote Debate

The conflict between Eugene Yu and True the Vote is the fifth scandal to keep an eye on in 2023.

As the year came to a close, Yu, the inventor of the Michigan-based election-management software company Konnech, had his felony charges against him dropped by the L.A. County district attorney's office. In a press conference held on October 4, 2022, the L.A. County D.A. previously announced Yu's arrest, stating that "under its $2.9 million, five-year contract with the county, Konnech was supposed to securely maintain the data and that only United States citizens and permanent residents have access to it." However, the news release states that "District Attorney investigators found that information was stored on servers in the People's Republic of China contrary to the contract."

True the Vote, the self-described "nation's leading voters' rights and election integrity organisation," made an announcement shortly after Yu was detained acknowledging that it had "played a small role" in Konnech's investigation and praising the L.A. County D.A.'s office for its efforts on the case. Because of its concerns "about both the pace of the investigation and the potential bias in the presentation and investigation of the evidence," True the Vote's involvement in the case is said to have caused the far-left D.A. to reevaluate the charges and ultimately led to the dismissal of the criminal case.

Although LA County could not completely rule out re-filing charges against Yu, none have been done so as of yet. Yu is currently pursuing civil claims for defamation and other issues in a federal district court against True the Vote and two of its representatives. Yu, on the other hand, insists that Konnech has never kept information about election workers on Chinese servers. On the other hand, True the Vote asserts that it sent the FBI proof that Konnech had improperly exploited foreign servers.

These contradicting reports will be resolved in 2023, and more significantly, the FBI's involvement in the incident will be made public. The FBI is the actual issue here, not Yu or True the Vote.

According to court records, a secret source gave the FBI proof that Konnech kept election workers' personal information on a Chinese server; it was on the basis of this proof that the L.A. County D.A. office indicted and detained Yu. However, those accusations were ultimately dropped because the state prosecutor appeared to have doubts about the reliability of the evidence.

The FBI was aware of the authenticity of the CHS server data long before Yu was detained, whereas the general public is still unsure. However, after Yu's arrest, the FBI reportedly stopped investigating the evidence that Yu had been keeping the personal data of tens of thousands of American election workers on a server in China, as well as other confidential human sources. The alternative explanation is that by failing to warn the L.A. district attorney's office that the material from the China-server was fraudulent, the agency allowed Yu to be detained for crimes he did not commit and caused the innocent American to be labelled a felon and a traitor.

This year should provide more insight into the matter because Yu's civil lawsuit against True the Vote is still proceeding in Texas.

6.Leak from the Supreme Court

2023 should also bring resolution to the Supreme Court leak scandal, even though it is long overdue. Obviously, the scandal is the disclosure to Politico of Justice Samuel Alito's draught opinion in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organisation. The May 2022 leak prompted Chief Justice John Roberts to ask court marshal and former Army colonel Gail Curley to look into the leak's origin.

Roberts pledged a thorough investigation at the time and that the judges may anticipate a report from him in the late autumn, but the report has not yet been made public. Details will be revealed in 2023, and perhaps, the leaker will receive justice.

7. Covid-19

A number of Covid-19-related controversies appear ready to explode in 2023. The "Twitter Files" revealed the government's efforts to intimidate opponents of the federal response, and those revelations are likely to raise a lot of questions about those initiatives, including those pertaining to the origins of Covid-19 and the likelihood of a lab leak, the funding of gain-of-function research, as well as the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. If it emerges that officials in charge of crafting the government's reaction to Covid were aware of the legitimacy of opposing scientific perspectives and misled to the public, related scandals may also develop.

8. SpyGate

SpyGate 2023 will probably mark the conclusion of Special Counsel John Durham's inquiry into the Crossfire Hurricane and the Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigations. According to conventional thinking, Durham's team has finished charging individuals and only has a written report to provide. If accurate, those seeking for lengthy prison sentences for conspirators will be dissatisfied. Nevertheless, a thorough analysis of the Russia collusion hoax will reveal the extent of the lies that dishonest members of the deep state have been selling to our nation.

When combined with the "Twitter Files" revelations and the rising number of whistleblowers, such a study could provide the spark that intelligence agencies need to be cleaned up.v

9. Targeting of pro-lifers

The targeting of pro-lifers by the Biden administration is another scandal that will emerge in 2023, and Mark Houck's federal prosecution will serve as a platform to reveal additional DOJ politicisation.

The targeting of Houck by the Biden administration first gained attention when 20 law enforcement officers, many of whom were armed with ballistic shields, long guns, and battering rams, descended on his home in late September 2022 to take the father of seven into custody on suspicion of breaking the Federal Access to Clinic Entrances, or FACE, Act. Houck has already retaliated in court by submitting a motion to dismiss the allegations and arguing that it was the alleged escort for Planned Parenthood, not Houck, who had broken the FACE Act. Houck further contended in the request that the charges must be dropped due to the Biden administration's discriminatory application of the FACE Act to pursue pro-lifers.

Although a judge has not yet made a decision on the request, Houck will undoubtedly file an appeal if it is rejected, requiring the Biden administration to justify its crude attack on pro-lifers. Houck's defence, that the Planned Parenthood escort was both the aggressor and the actual perpetrator of a FACE Act offence, will be presented to the jury as well as the general public if the charges are not dropped. At the end of the day, the Biden administration will probably be put on trial.

10. The Silence of Journalists

The press failed to report the tenth scandal of 2023, thus it cannot be seen because it is the dog that did not bark.

Trump upended the mainstream media after years of left-leaning bias. The journalists working for the purported industry leaders in journalism dropped all pretence of professionalism. While ignoring the Hunter Biden laptop controversy, they promoted the Russia collusion fantasy. They ceased serving as watchdogs for our constitutional republic and started acting as shills for the candidates they supported. A last scandal in 2023 looks certain given the media elite's continued silence following the first nine scandals.stration being tested.
