Things I learnt from my recent setbacks
Things I learnt from my recent setbacks How I wish life were filled with glory and love, tales of how we succeed in every aspect of our life, emerging victorious in battles filled with animosity and sadness. Every mortal being experiences seasons of rise and fall, of light and dark, of pain and purpose, and defeat and victory.

Sunday Morning at Church
My cat told me not to go to Church this morning. I almost obeyed her. I was wondering if I could go to the bar on a Saturday night and then go to Church on a Sunday morning without feeling like a confounded hypocrite. I defied my cat's advice and drove to church thinking about the song "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. "You get a line, I'll get a pole. We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole. Five-card poker on Saturday night. Church on Sunday morning." I'm glad I defied my cat and went to church. It's decorated so Christmas style and it lifts my spirits even if I'm a "black sheep" or even if I'm not an essential member of the church.

Evil Eye is Not Real - How to Train Your Mind for Abundance
Recently, there have been so many social media outrages and debates revolving around the concept of the Evil eye and whether it is real or not, and how other people’s negative energy or wishing bad upon us can lead to our downfall. While there are a lot of contrasting opinions about this concept, there is no research or scientific study that can prove whether this is real or not. I firmly believe the notion of the evil eye is rooted in superstitious and cultural beliefs that people who are envious of your growth or the light that you behold wish bad upon you or send curses your way which ultimately leads to ill health or losing the abundance that is present in your life.

Hey YOU, Yes, You. Quit Discontenting Yourself. You're Perfect.
Hey, person. Oh, my God, YOU, the one reading it right now. Now I need you to pause for a moment. And let out everything that he made sense. Just take a breath. Give it a minute for the whole thing to die. The next thing to tell you cost me a million. You are perfect. I recognize this inner critic — the one who says, “I’m not enough.” Or screams, “You’ll never be enough.” It is the tone that makes you doubt every choice, every possibility, every little shred of what makes you. You see, that voice — you need to pay attention — is a liar. You are far from good enough. You’re already so, so large. You can remain in your place without lifting a finger. You are precisely what you were created to be. You’d had to begin considering it.” Quit wanting to be someone else Have you ever seen someone’s entire life and said, “I’m becoming this person”? It can be your best friend, a colleague, the latest celebutante, or someone you follow on Instagram. But does it not sound greener than the grass? And I don’t know about you, but I don’t. Imagine if you need only a glimpse through those lenses and telepathy of their brains whenever whatever was behind that smirk once the scenes abased was delivered to you. What if all the great power and ideas of the great were where an image in the ideal? You are different. You may be the only person in the universe with the particular mix of knowledge, likes, and wants that you have. The soul is your spirit, your essence is yours. That’s amazing. Your reception, your sense of humor, your exit on being — none of the “you” features can be marketed. Be yourself because everyone else is already taken — Oscar Wilde.

How to Shift Your Mindset and Stop Fear of the Evil Eye
Recently, there has been much banter and controversy on social networks over this concept called Evil Eye, as if this thing exists and that some people's bad vibes or bad wishes have so much to do with our lives. Without much empirical research or scientific evidence being put forward on its basis, opinions widely vary on this aspect of life. I believe that the concept of the evil eye is based on cultural and superstitious thinking, that is, those who feel envious of your success or inner light may wish you harm or cast curses, which can eventually bring about misfortune or a decline in the blessings already in your life.
