When you see someone across the room, or on your screen… you can’t stop thinking about them. You might find yourself replaying images of that person in your head, wondering how they feel about you, what they’re doing at that moment and if there’s any way to get in contact with them. Some people call this “Obsessive Love Syndrome” or “Limerence” - an extremely intense form of romantic love that is almost always unrequited. When it comes to loving from afar, does obsession ever turn into love? However much you may want it to be, obsession isn’t a stepping stone towards love. It isn’t a preamble to romance either. It can be dangerous and unhealthy because instead of seeing the real person, the obsessed individual sees an idealized version of themself; almost like they are falling in love with their own imagination rather than another human being.

Resurrection
I took the abuse but died each time. I took the beatings and the lies and died a little more with each one. I died with the knowledge you cheated on me and I died more each time another name appeared on that list. I died again and a little more with each pregnancy scare with “the other woman”. Each fight, each scream, each curse...I died a little more. And what was once a vibrant, energetic, friendly, bubble of a woman slowly became an empty husk.

Atlanta drops its most daring episode yet
Atlanta has previously demonstrated that it can pull off any idea or configuration change it damn well satisfies, yet this week takes its chameleonic assets to a completely separate level. In the event that you've arrived at this recap without observing yet, kindly go watch it now, since this, as "B.A.N." and "Teddy Perkins," is one of the episodes to encounter with as little information as could be expected. "The Goof Who Sat By The Entryway" is Atlanta's generally trying and specifically noteworthy episode yet, as it makes a revisionist history for the Blackest film of the Disney Renaissance.

The Graveyard's Eyes. Top Story - October 2022.
I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve been there --- to the graveyard. How many times I’ve felt the bone-chilling stares of the headstones as I walked through the raven-black gates. Every time, I gripped my flowers, my eyes roaming the silence, my heart pumping like a maniac because I felt something. At first, it was just the headstones. They surrounded me like a hungry murder of crows, each one different in its own way. Everything within me screamed to go back to the entrance, but the memories of my mother called to me. When I reached her headstone, the previous flowers I had laid stolen from the desperate fingers of the dead, the memories came stabbing back.

A moment to yourself. Nothing to think about but your daily routine. Brush teeth, shower, and things seem to be normal as they should. At a moment's strike, you find it in the mirror. Tears roll down your face. You find it hard to breathe as you brush your teeth. you continue to brush until the tears become overwhelming. The saliva forces you to swallow some toothpaste and you can't help but weep. You begin choking on the toothpaste and you stop so you’re not found on the floor.

The Power of Work Friends
Summary. Despite claiming “people are our greatest asset,” too many executives still expect employees to leave their personal lives at the door when they come to work. Yet Gallup data shows that having a best friend at work is strongly linked to business outcomes, including improvements in profitability, safety, inventory control, and employee retention. And Gallup’s latest findings show that since the start of the pandemic, having a best friend at work has an even greater impact on important outcomes — like workers’ likelihood to recommend their workplace, intent to leave, and overall satisfaction. With the unavoidable increase in remote and hybrid work, best friends at work have become lifelines who provide crucial social connection, collaboration, and support for each other during times of change. The author offers four ways managers can create and maintain a friendship-friendly workplace that delivers measurable results.
