Embarrassment
A Sort Of Problem. Top Story - November 2022.
Introduction I recently wrote a piece setting myself a task to create a fiction that was entirely positive. I wasn’t sure I could do it, but I did, and the story I am talking about is at the end of this one. So what is my problem?

The Two-Week Plan
I wonder about how we make friends. Peter Ustinov said that friends are not the ones you pick; they are the ones who simply got there first. Others believe that friendship is deeper than any love affair can be. People often regret losing a friend more than a lover.

The possum War
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Turning Weaknesses into Strenghts
Turning weaknesses into strengths is what I urge you to do, and that’s what I’m doing with these posts, or rather, these random thoughts foisted as scientific truths. You know Mina and the late Battisti who never showed up for their own reasons? Well, the more they were hidden, the more their cachet increased. Now, I’m neither Mina nor Battisti, I also have a tin ear, but I think that, maybe, being holed up, communicating only through a blog, can help me build a “mysterious and intriguing” character capable of dazzling readers. Yes … yes, right. In the meantime, I try, because it is the only thing I can do. Do it too, transform your shyness into reserve, your fear into modesty, your silence into grace, into sensitivity, into intuition. Outside there are many noises and you, on the other hand, gather in the center of yourself to listen to the music of the heart. (Violins in the background.)

Toothpaste
A moment to yourself. Nothing to think about but your daily routine. Brush teeth, shower, and things seem to be normal as they should. At a moment's strike, you find it in the mirror. Tears roll down your face. You find it hard to breathe as you brush your teeth. you continue to brush until the tears become overwhelming. The saliva forces you to swallow some toothpaste and you can't help but weep. You begin choking on the toothpaste and you stop so you’re not found on the floor.

I Keep Having the Same Annoying Dreams
I am 13 weeks pregnant. Over the past few weeks, I've been super tired. I've barely wanted to do anything. The sites I work for have been dipping when it comes to earnings and traffic, so that is partly to blame for the demotivation I've been feeling. (Why bother putting in effort for a few cents?)

Whither Toronto?
Why do I hate that city so much? I know that I am not alone with this. Many of my fellow Canadians have very strong opinions about T.O., Hogtown, the Economic Heart of Canada…and That Place. But there is no hate like the hate that grows and festers like the one from someone who lives in close proximity to that town.
