Suge Knight Speaks on Dating Eve and T.I.'s Wife
Suge Knight calls Eve a home girl.

Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, has attempted to dispel falsehoods about himself during a phone interview from prison. In the interview with The Art of Dialogue, he expressed his opinion about Eve's memoir, in which she says that her brief romance with him was a vendetta against record executive, Dr. Dre. He also addressed comments made about him by rapper Fat Joe, who claimed that Knight, at one point, attempted to extort rapper T.I. Knight is presently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter. The interview, which was published on October 14 focused on friendships and rivalries in the rap industry during the 1990s and 2000s.
Eve rose to stardom in the late 1990s following the release of wildly successful tracks such as “Who's That Girl?” Her debut solo album, Let There Be Eve ... Ruff Ryders' First Lady, sold over a million copies. Nevertheless, Dr. Dre dropped her from his label, Aftermath Entertainment, in 1999. The decision profoundly impacted her solo career. In her memoir, she writes that she dated Knight in retaliation against the music producer. Knight refused to confirm or deny her claim, stating, “I ain't here to deny or admit whatever she say in her book. I think she is a home-girl with some grit. I like gangster women. I like women that care about their money. About their life, and fight for what they want.” He credited her ability to survive as the reason for her success and recalled the first time they met at an awards ceremony. This was after he was released from prison in the early 2000s. At the ceremony, Knight wore handcuffs made of diamonds to symbolize freedom.
While the majority of the people avoided him, Eve supposedly ran to him to have a conversation. "Majority of the people ran and she ran to me to have a conversation" he said. He also mentioned that a mere nod from Eve was all that was needed for him to confront Dre. "All Eve had to do is nod her head and I would have broke Andre's m******* jaw," he said. He said that he would have been able to handle Dre because Eve was his home girl. Knight also talked about their light moments and added that he respects women. He said that the best female rappers in the hiphop industry were Cardi and Eve, noting that both were immensely talented but had to face a lot of jealousy and extraordinarily challenging situations while working in the industry. Knight also talked about the T.I. extortion allegations. He laughed at the story and referred to T.I.s build. "TI weigh 93 lbs. Who couldn't take something from TI," he said. He also mentioned relations with T.I.’s wife Tiny Harris, who he said frequented his house in Beverly Hills. "If I wanted something from T.I., it was took taken gone done" Knight said. "Don't tell me T.I. fought back" he added.
Fat Joe made the T.I. extortion statement while on a podcast earlier in the year when describing industry incidents and portrayed Knight as a menace. During The Art of Dialogue interview, Knight also paid tribute to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes from TLC, referring to her as a rapper and friend who deserved recognition. The artist perished in a car accident in 2002 at age 30. Knight, at the time, backed her work. "She was one of those ones who was going to be with all the greats," he said. Suge has in the past promoted artists like Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. However, his history is fraught with violent episodes. The recent Art of Dialogue interview is among his most notable in months.
